Announcement   Colorful and whimsical wall décor that is perfect for a kid's room or nursery. A perfect gift for a baby's room, or a gift from grandmother. Hang up bright and lively original artwork prints that make a wonderful environment for a child's room. For adults: wearing my unique jewelry spreads the fun around. My clay ornaments and figurines make people grin all the time. They do have a serious cuteness factor going on for them.

I paint and draw with acrylics, acrylic inks, oil pastels and pencils. I like 3D art too, and make jewelry and ornaments. My sense of humor is reflected in many of my works.

You can see more paintings and other things on my blog: http://colorfurcritters.wordpress.com

Ok, this was totally beyond ADORABLE! The paint job was FABULOUS and the expression on the cat's face was so alive and realistic, you could practically hear it purring "I Love You" to you. My very favorite all time Valentine's Day card, ever!

About

Artist by night, bookkeeper by day

My art has always been my escape. Growing up in a dysfunctional family was tough, but I could always start sketching/drawing and get so involved I wouldn't notice anything else. My mom would buy newsprint pads and I would compulsively draw horses and wolves, dragons and unicorns. You could fill a room with all the drawings I did as a kid. I believe my art saved my sanity. Of course, some therapy didn't hurt either!

As a working adult, I still compulsively sketch. When I was younger, I used to get in trouble at meetings because I was drawing instead of taking notes. When quizzed, I could recite the meetings agenda, so most bosses got used to my quirk. They didn't like it, but some came to accept it, others did not.

I love to paint, but I have also dabbled in sculptures and ornaments. Polymer clay is a really fun thing to use to create things. I also make some jewelry and may possibly list more pieces as I am beginning to make beads with polymer clay. I already make pendants/necklaces featuring my artwork. See my jewelry at my other store: Experimental Studios.

I do love to try new things but I always come back to painting. It is such a great feeling to turn a white canvas or paper into something else entirely. Besides, I can't stop myself.

Hi there, and thanks for stopping by my "About" page. I am a much better artist than writer so this is a challenge to write something informative and interesting. I live in the Southwestern USA with a husband, dog, and a few rescue cats.

Welcome to my store. Here you will find original items that I have created that should brighten your day. My love of animals and my sense of humor shows in my artwork. Some are miniature treasures that are all 3.5 inches by 2.5 inches (8.9 x 6.35cm) and are called ACEOs - Art Card Editions & Originals. Others are a larger format from 3 inches by 3 inches and larger. JEWELRY: I have pieces featuring mini prints of my art work. Also I have original artwork (abstract) under resin. In addition I've been making Healing Crystal Jewelry featuring gemstones displayed in polymer clay.

For most of my art work, I do a pencil sketch in a drawing pad and work out the details, then sketch the image to watercolor paper or canvas paper, and paint it. My more realistic art comes from my own photographs. I freehand sketch the image on the paper and then start painting, using the photo as a reference.
Of course, sometimes I stick to a detailed pencil drawing and the heck with the paint!
