Announcement    The Wool Boats crew plans for the 27th September to 3rd October 2021.
This week’s plan for Burscough’s wool shop.
Ooh the weather has changed, getting wet and windy. It’s the wind that makes it difficult to move so looking at the forecast we don’t plan to be open too much, probably just Thursday afternoon from 1-4 near The Slipway pub on the 30th September.
Please check back here nearer the end of the week to confirm weather and mooring place.
Otherwise we are available for appointment if you fancy a wander down the towpath. If you get in touch we’ll arrange a time and place convenient for you and us.
Carole will also be knitting and nattering in The Farmers on Thursday so Capt Col will be running the shop open on the boat.
Oh yes we are planning to go over to Yorkshire to pick up some supplies of yarn, new colour’s of Wys 4 ply sock yarn and J C Bretts Marble chunky due
We would love to see you visit for a squidge and see the yarns, wools and Carole’s hand knitted garment in proper colour, not on a computer screen.
Open Thursday the 30th of September from 1 to 4
As we have done all through the lock downs you can make an appointment to collect from us at a time that is good for us all, please ring 07931 356204.
As we are still being covid safe at the present time we are afraid we can’t let people on to the boat, we’ve not room for social distancing, so we are bringing baskets of yarn out to you.

Please check out our website www.thewoolboat.co.uk for other ideas of the garments Carole has created in the past.

Welcome
We are creative people and work for most of our time from our narrow boat “Emma Maye”

From this unusual base we provide various services that hopefully will be of interest to you, and you will enjoy the experience of working with us to produce what you require.

1st of all, our boat is also known as “The Wool Boat” as we are a unique floating wool and yarn shop and we cruise around the inland waterways of the country.

Carole is a very experienced knitter and offers a hand knitting service.

Returns and exchanges
By placing an order with us, a contract has been formed. However, with the exception of bespoke hand knitted garments, you can cancel your contract at any time up to 14 working days after the receipt of the goods. To do this, please e-mail us. You do not have to give any reason for cancellation; however, a brief explanation will help us to improve the service we offer to customers in the future. If you cancel, you must return the goods to us at your own expense.
If you do need to return any item to us, please ensure that you at least obtain a certificate of posting. Returned goods must be unworn and unused and in saleable condition: please ensure that the goods are packaged adequately to protect against damage, and include the original labels and packaging. If you fail to take reasonable care of the goods before they are returned to us, and this results in damage or deterioration, we may have to charge you for the reduction in value. This cancellation policy does not affect your legal rights (for example, if goods are faulty or mis-described).
