A lot of my summer breaks during school were spent at my aunt’s house learning how to sew. She was an awesome teacher. I use to dream of becoming a fashion designer one day. I made my first robe when I was in 8th grade in 1997, at the same aunt’s class and I still have it!
My business is very simple to describe. I make comfortable garments. I only work with a few structural patterns that I tend to toy with the design. I LOVE colors and I have slowly and steadily developed a huge selection of fabric prints that are available on my store and I constantly work towards developing new prints.
The business started in my drawing room about 2 to 3 years ago. I borrowed some money from my dad and my husband bought a sewing machine. We got a cutting table made and started buying fabric from a retail store, who gave me a tiny discount because I bought in bulk. It was hardly bulk, and it was a hardly a
discount.. but it was a good starting point. Apart from the fixed assets, I started my business with about 100 USD back in 2012 and it has grown from there. I now have a small team that works with me as you can see below.
