Great fragrances! Not a lot of distance, but I love how they smell on my skin and the bottles are adorable. Follow Me Boy, September Bride, and Whitechapel have become my go-to fragrances and I'm planning on getting larger bottles; Secret Garden & Yemaja are light, bright and great for warm weather.

Really lovely scents. The Egyptian inspired scents are very intriguing and I'm now trying Bastet, Hathor, Anubis. I also ordered some more musky scents and wolf moon and dirty sex are definitely winners. Again thanks very much!

Lovely solid perfume. Long lasting scent, quite sweet though, so only need a little.

A Bit Scenty-mental...

My love affair with perfume started several years ago when I discovered a set of element-themed body sprays at my local pharmacy. I had to have all four and I loved to wear a different one depending my mood - and the mood I wanted to invoke. From there I built a collection of perfumes for every possible occasion and more besides.

The step to making my own perfumes came when I grew dissatisfied with chemical-based, mass-produced scents. Everything was beginning to smell a bit samey to me, and I was unhappy with the foreign substances I was spraying on myself every day. Making my own perfume seemed daunting, but once I started...well, an obsession was born!

Once I discovered the range of essential and fragrance oils available and began to experiment with different combinations, I fell in love with the creative process. And once I fall in love with something, I just want to share it with the world. An Etsy shop seemed the perfect venue, so here we are, almost a year after my journey into perfume creation began.

Every scent in the Common Brimstone catalogue is created by me from the original concept through to the finished product. I hand-make every scent in small batches and store them in a dark box to promote the alchemical aging process that creates truly unique scents on your skin. Common Brimstone is a showcase for the variety and delight I've found in creating one-of-a-kind scents and I hope you love it as much as I do!

My second shop, Shy Saliana will launch in 2015.

I split my time between writing and making perfume. I adore the creative process behind both and I'm influenced in both my stories and my scents by the mythical, the occult, the literary, the random and the whimsical.
