Hallo! Ich bin Amy, Besitzerin von Compass Rose Studio. Meine Liebe zur Kunst und meine Verehrung für das Reisen ist die Inspiration hinter dem Compass Rose Studio. Ich hoffe, dass die Karten und Illustrationen, die ich erstelle, dazu beitragen, Sie mit den besonderen Orten zu verbinden, an denen Sie waren, und Träume von Orten zu schüren, die Sie noch nicht besucht haben.
Ich begann zu zeichnen, als ich alt genug war, um einen Bleistift zu halten, und hörte einfach nie auf. Als angeborener Tierliebhaber waren meine frühen Jahre dem Ziel gewidmet, Tiere auf dem Papier zum Leben zu erwecken. Wenn ich nicht gerade Hasen und Streifenhörnchen zeichnete, konzentrierte ich mich auf wunderschöne Landschaften; Wahrscheinlich das Produkt des Aufwachsens mit einem Wald für einen Hinterhof und einem Bach, wo traditionell ein Schwimmbad gehen würde. Ich zeichnete alles und jedes um mich herum.
Bis heute bleibe ich bei meinen Wurzeln. Bevor ich Tastatur und Maus berühre, beginne ich mit meinem Skizzenbuch und Bleistift. Meine Lieblingsmedien sind Feder + Tinte, Aquarell und Gouache. Alle Designs und Illustrationen sind meine Originalkreationen, und Sie werden sie nirgendwo sonst finden.

Hi! I'm Amy, owner of Compass Rose Studio. My love of art and adoration of travel is the inspiration behind Compass Rose Studio. I hope the maps and illustrations I create help connect you to the special places you've been and fuel dreams of places you've yet to visit.
I started drawing when I was old enough to hold a pencil and simply never stopped. As an innate animal lover, my early years were dedicated to bringing animals to life on paper. When I wasn’t drawing bunnies and chipmunks, I focused on gorgeous landscapes; likely, the product of growing up with a forest for a backyard and a creek where a swimming pool would traditionally go. I drew anything and everything around me.
To this day I stick to my roots. Before touching a keyboard and mouse, I start with my sketchbook and pencil. My favorite mediums are pen+ink, watercolor and gouache. All designs and illustrations are my original creations, and you won’t find them anywhere else.
