The heart behind the making
The Contemplative Maker grew from a simple love of making things.
I have always found something deeply satisfying about working with my hands. There is something about slowing down, noticing the materials, playing with ideas and seeing something gradually take shape that I find both joyful and grounding.
Nature, faith, colour, texture and the ordinary beauty of everyday life often find their way into what I make. I don't always begin with a finished idea. Sometimes the making itself leads me somewhere unexpected.
That's part of what I love about handmade things. They don't have to be perfect. They can carry the marks of the hands that made them, and each one can be a little different.
I called my shop The Contemplative Maker because making, for me, is more than simply producing something. It's a way of slowing down, thinking, noticing and creating with intention.
My shop is a collection of those moments made tangible: handmade treasures, each created with thought, curiosity and heart.
I hope that when you discover something here, it feels a little like finding a treasure of your own.
