The CookieBug.com was launched in 2020 by Malissa Sanfilippo, a graduate of the USC school of Fine Art. Upon graduating Malissa decided to combine her passion for art with her love of baking and her career as a cake and cookie decorator began.

Sizing details
Regular cookies are 3-4" in size. Mini's are 2-3".
Care instructions
Cookies should be eaten within 10 days. If you need them to last longer, please put them in the freezer for use within 3 months. Let them thaw fully before you eat them.
Gift wrapping and packaging
Cookies come individually wrapped in heat sealed cello wrap, then they are bubble wrapped for shipping. We then place them in a baker's box with tissue, wrap the box with a bow, then put that box into a shipping box with air pillows. Breakage is rare but if you receive broken cookies, you may file a claim with the carrier.

Custom Cookies
All of our cookies are custom made. We begin making them when you order. The pictures you see on our Etsy shop are some examples. Please let us know what you would like, your theme and ideas. Pictures are welcome. Thank you!
Gift wrapping and packaging
Since each order is custom made we do not begin working on them until the order is placed. From that point, there is a process of baking, cooling, painting and drying. This process can take awhile depending upon how many colors are going into your cookies. For this reason we tell our customers that processing time before shipping can take up to 7-14 days. If you need your cookies sooner, give us a call (619-455-5594 or malissa@thecookiebug.net) and we will try and get them out when you need them. Thank you for your understanding.
