My name is Roberta...and I'm a Fabric-oholic.

Where do I start to tell you about my Cool Threads Shop....

I have been sewing ever since I was little. ALL the women in my family sewed-my grandmothers, my mother, aunts, sister, cousins...even a few of the "men folk" learned to sew as well. At the ripe age of 4 years old, my (maternal) grandmother taught me the basics of sewing. I fondly remember sitting on her lap, both of us giggling as she worked the treadle giving me a bouncy ride, as I guided some plain muslin fabric. The muslin was transformed into a pillow for my doll, and I was hooked.

I assumed all girls knew how to sew...it is like breathing to me...just something you do without thinking. I was quite surprised (and a bit bored, lol) when I was forced to take sewing as part of my Home Economics class in 7th thru 9th grade.

Since then, I have sewn everything from Halloween costumes and a wedding gown, to a bench seat for a 1967 Rambler station wagon...one of my many "campy" rides, to a doll custom-made for a well-known children's author.

Except for the very basics, I am self-taught, and still love to learn new things! A few years ago, I realized that many people truly appreciate my work, and my Cool Threads Shop was born. It allows me to feed my fabric addiction as well as sharing my love of sewing.

Returns and exchanges
I gladly accept returns and exchanges
Contact me within: 14 days of delivery
Ship items back within: 30 days of delivery
I don't accept cancellations

The following items can't be returned or exchanged
Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
  • Custom or personalized orders
  • Perishable products (like food or flowers)
  • Digital downloads
  • Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)
Returns and exchange details
IN-STOCK MDSE (except earrings/toilet paper): I accept most items for an exchange or refund if you are not satisfied with the order. Refunds do not include shipping, unless I shipped the wrong item by mistake. I appreciate a convo prior to the mailing of the return so I can be expecting it. Include your preference for an exchange or refund; and the reason for your return. Returned merchandise must be in clean, resaleable condition with all tags attached (if applicable) and packaging included.

If you requested special colors or ANY change to items shown on ETSY, please read the policy for CUSTOM ORDERS.

EARRINGS: Due to the personal nature of pierced earrings, I do not accept returns on them unless I shipped the wrong item. This assures that all earrings I mail to you are new and have never been worn.

Toilet Paper: I do not accept returns on the embroidered toilet paper, unless I shipped the wrong item.

CUSTOM ORDERS: I typically do not accept custom orders for return since they are not a typical in-stock item. This includes unique color requests. However, I will consider returns on a case-by-case basis. My main criteria for custom returns is the ability to resell a unique item in the market that I have developed.

I strive to communicate with customers to ensure the custom order is made to their liking. Once a custom order is complete, I will convo photos of your order for proofreading and final approval. Custom orders will not be refunded without prior approval from shop owner. Refunds do not include shipping, unless there was an error on the part of Cool Threads Shop.

REFUNDS/EXCHANGES are limited to the value of the returned product. Unless I've shipped the wrong mdse., all shipping costs, insurance, taxes, customs, etc. for returned/exchanged products are the responsibility of the buyer.

Paypal is accepted at this time. Order cancellations accepted within 24 hours of ordering.
Shipping
I use the United States Post Office for all my shipping needs. Seller is not responsible for misdirected or lost mail. Please be sure your ETSY/PayPall address is current! My processing time does not include shipping time; allow time for the postal service to deliver your order!

I offer local pick up in Zephyrhills, FL. Please ask for details if you are interested.

COMBINED ORDERS: I offer combined shipping on all products in my ETSY shop that are sent to the same address at the same time. Please convo me and include your shopping list PRIOR to ordering. That allows me the chance to create an invoice with your combined shipping costs.

SHIPPING: I use USPS. My processing time does NOT include their delivery time. First Class is used for small orders; Priority Flat Rate is used for larger orders.

PROCESSING TIME: Many of my items are in stock and ready to ship within 2 business days. Custom items and special requests typically take 2 weeks. This allows me to order any special colors of thread or material that I may not have in-house. Please remember that my turn around time does not include the postal delivery time.

Buyers are responsible for ALL incurred fees (such as postage, returns (with insurance), etc. beyond the cost of the product. I will gladly assist you with any postal issues.

DISCOUNTS: I make each item personally, and I consider the value of my product as I price each one. Materials, equipment, cost of designs, and my time are a few of the things I consider; and I truly believe my products are a great value at full price. Each item is personally created by me; therefore, I do not offer discounts on bulk order.

REFUNDS: Store credit or returns are allowed to you, the original buyer, exclusively, within 14 business days of being delivered to you. Be sure to inspect your order upon its arrival and notify me of any concerns as soon as possible, so we can resolve any issues. Merchandise that is being returned must be in clean, resale-able condition and in its original packaging, if applicable.

ALL costs associated with exchanges and/or returning merchandise are the responsibility of the buyer. However, if I sent item(s) to you that weren't what you ordered, I will exchange them at my expense. I may ask for photographs of your shipment (packaging and items) to validate your request.
