5 out of 5 starsWow this little guy is stunning! It was a bit out of my price range so I wavered quite a bit, but decided to go with it. Somehow it's more beautiful in person. The spout on this produces a mesmerizing pour - it helps bring mindfulness and intention to my morning tea.

5 out of 5 starsAmazing small teapot, magical colours gradients: gold-orange-black. Have good form-factor, fits perfectly in the hand, pleasant to the touch, really soft and clean. I feel ecstatic every time I touch the lid and handle of the kettle. The lid fits perfectly into the wide neck, pleasant sound, fine workmanship. I can write an ode about what a long, smooth stream comes out of the spout of the kettle, the tea leaves are easy to take out and they do not fall into the bowl. It's an absolutely fantastic thing in all aspects. Retains the smell of tea well, works with both puer and oolong. Well packed. I lost the parcel for a week or two due to the fact that the USPS tracks the parcel by the track-code only to the border with Russia. Then you need to go to your post office and ask for a package on your name / address.

5 out of 5 starsI love everything I’ve ever bought from Cooper. This little cup is my new daily friend, just the right size. Shipped to me quickly and packed up carefully and more beautiful in real life than the photographs could possibly show. Seems like it’s a thoughtful match to the pot I purchased at the same time. Thank you.

5 out of 5 starsA wonderful little teapot. The texture and coloring are a pleasure, the shape is adorable and unique, and the pour is solid. I look forward to using this teapot for years to come. The shipping was very prompt and the teapot was very well packaged as well. Thanks!
About CooperJCeramics
Cooper Jeppesen, Ceramicist
I have been involved in ceramics a majority of my life; starting as a kid who loved clay. I continued through my high school and college years forming my aesthetic style as a ceramic artist and finding a love for functional wares. I find inspiration in nature and enjoy creating items that nod to shapes and figures that are found in the organic world. I work with my heart, head and hands in order to create functional and sculptural items that intrigue and satisfy.
I work in a variety of wood fired kilns across the Pacific Northwest to fire my pieces. I enjoy the spontaneous effects that wood fired kilns provide as well as the community of people it takes to run these kilns for many days.
Wood kilns can produce temperatures of 1400°C (2,500 °F), which allows the wood to produce fly ash and volatile salts while it burns. This complex interaction of ash, salts, minerals in the clay and the flame itself are what give wood fired pots their unique characteristics. Wood ash might lightly settle on a piece during the firing, or accumulate to the point where the ash drips down the sides of a pot, or the ash might even accumulate around the pot until it is completely submerged. Placement of pieces within the kiln also greatly affects the pottery’s final appearance, pieces closer to the fire may become immersed in embers and ash, while those further from the flame may only be lightly touched by ash effects and salt. This is why the results differ from each kiln as well as each time a kiln is fired.
