Incredibly beautiful glass box. Exquisite detail. Breathtaking design. This is a perfect resting place for the ashes of my beloved frisky friend, Christmas Cat. The artist is an amazing, kind person. Great communication. Super fast, safe delivery. I love everything that I have ever purchased from her. Super transaction.

About

Finally, I'm working with GLASS!

Mine is a truly creative partnership between my visions and the fluid properties of the glass and molten metal.

My pieces are unique in that I am particularly focused on working with textured and colored glass, then incorporating items from nature such as semi-precious stones, fossils, and shells into my work. You will see sculpted flowers with amethyst crystal clusters or boxes with fossil cabochons for example.

I was Born in the Bronx and raised in Valley Stream NY. With Manhattan at my doorstep I experienced an array of art and theatre. Showbiz became my career but fine art has always been my passion. I've dabbled in photography, painting and even a year long foray into weaving baskets from garden hoses (see Just-Supphose link) but I've always been enthralled with glass art.

To clear my mind from running a business and raising a family I taught myself the Tiffany technique of copper foiling glass..... Finally, I'm working with GLASS!

COPAKE BLUE is the local name given to the glass-like rocks formed from the discards of an 1800's iron ore foundry. The molten "slag" extracted from the iron was poured into the river that runs through Copake Falls and Taconic State Park in Massachusetts. We took one vacation each summer through my childhood. and stayed in the rustic cottages alongside that narrow icy river. Collecting those green, purple and blue glassy "gems" was better than any playground to this suburban only-child!

Ironically, as a teen I collected unusual antique chandelier crystals, and as an adult you can leave me at any glass blowing demonstration then pick me up when the day is done. I've always been enthralled glass.

And so, a tribute to my fondest childhood memories and my love for glass, I've named my studio...Copake Blue.
