Copperina

Copperina... deriva dalla parola "rame" che è il materiale che Ive'd ha utilizzato principalmente negli ultimi 20 anni. È puro e totalmente biologico allo stesso tempo. È così facile da lavorare ed è un metallo nobile. È un metallo morbido, malleabile e duttile e il suo colore rosso-arancio cambia con l'esposizione al calore, queste caratteristiche possono creare una varietà di colori interessanti . Mi piace un sacco!!!

"... al liceo ero presidente del club d'arte e penso che da allora ho vissuto l'arte correlata ... Ho completato un Bachelor of Arts con una specializzazione in Lettere presso l'Università di Porto Rico, in seguito, ho condotto corsi e workshop di scultura.

Lavorando nel mio studio ho sperimentato diverse sfaccettature. All'inizio il mio lavoro si è nutrito di oggetti che ho trovato, e mescolato con altri materiali, ho creato grandi murales, tavoli e sedie. Poi, ho iniziato a progettare fontane d'acqua in rame e questo mi ha portato a progettare lampade.

Continuo a lavorare nel mio studio alla ricerca di nuovi disegni e formati... Penso decisamente che questo sia ciò che rende un artista.

Attualmente, lavoro in una linea di gioielli e accessori per donne ...

Ho fatto mostre personali e collettive a Porto Rico, Miami e nella Repubblica Dominicana. Recentemente ho avuto una mostra al West Elm Store - Puerto Rico.

Copperina... comes from the word "copper" which is the material Ive'd mainly used for the last 20 years . Is pure and totally organic at the same time. Is so easy to work with, and is a noble metal. It is a soft, malleable and ductile metal and his reddish-orange color change with the exposure of heat, this characteristics can create a variety of interesting colors . Love it !!!

"... at high school I was president of the art club and I think since then I have lived related art ... I completed a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Humanities at the University of Puerto Rico, later, I conducted courses and workshops in sculpture.

Working in my studio I have experienced several facets. At first my work was nourished by objects which I found, and mixed with other materials, I created large murals, tables and chairs. Then, I begin designing water fountains in copper and this led me to design lamps.

I continue working in my studio in search of new designs and formats ... I definitely think that this is what makes an artist.

Currently, I work in a line of jewelry and accessories for women ...

I've done solo and group exhibitions in Puerto Rico, Miami and the Dominican Republic. I recently had an exhibition at West Elm Store - Puerto Rico.
