About

Coquesia Belle... by Endeavors

(Pronounced: COKE-WESS-UH) Coquesia Belle was my great grandmother's name, and it means "blue prairie flower." The story goes that she was named after HER mother, who was named Coquesia in honor of a Native American Indian woman. My most vivid memories of Great-Grandma are of her exquisite hands, that always seemed to be moving even when she wasn't crafting. Grandma went by a trendy nickname like many from her generation, but I was enamored by those unique real names on our family tree. I had plucked a few off of it for my three children, so it just seemed fitting to use one for the "business baby."

Coquesia's daughter, Eleanor, has been a professional seamstress, upholsterer, and crochet extraordinaire for more than 40 years. Grandma Eleanor joined the shop in 2014 to continue the family tradition of home business and handmade crafts. Her designs are inspired by vintage patterns and traditional methods. As for me during the infancy of my shop in 2010, I rebelliously decided I didn't like anyone else's patterns, so I began inventing my own! I wanted to bring in extra funds and support my newfound craft hobbies after having my third child - Something I could do from home. My, how everything has grown!

Etsy has been a great outlet for us because, at our respective stages of life, it combines the best of both worlds. I am so excited to be working with my mother and grandmother - It keeps us close even though we are far apart. I love to showcase the wealth of knowledge that goes into each piece of Grandma's work. Rest assured, no matter which member creates your order, it will likely have been created by a devoted multi-tasker near a steaming mug of something, half-watching "riveting" TV... Or the kids' ball game, or playing at the beach, or getting the oil changed, or taking a long scenic family drive... In the ever green Pacific Northwest.

<B Stacey - Thanks for stopping by!

Eleanor has been sewing, upholstering, & crocheting for more than 40 years. Her favorite moment as an artist? Seeing something she's done being used and being able to tell by the details that she made it!

This is Mom appearing serene, but she is all vibrancy & fun! Words cannot express what needs to be told here, but she just fills in the blanks for whatever needs to be done. Mom's creative spark is the joy, glue, and heart of our family.

  • Margie

    Crochet

My dearest friend & although she's a bit newer to crochet, you'd never be able to tell! She is a busy mom to three awesome kids, yet she always steps up to whatever plate you put in front of her and delivers. I'm proud to have her on our team!

If you're looking for the perfect gift, you've come to right place. (It can be our little secret if it's just for you!)

Our products are handmade in our pet-free, smoke-free, kid-friendly homes. We avoid using animal fibers or base metals for sensitivity reasons, so most crocheted items are made with cotton or acrylic yarn. Jewelry parts that have constant contact with the skin are made with either surgical stainless steel, 14 kt gold, silver fill, or pure sterling silver.

Shipping
Orders will ship from either Washington state or Oregon, depending on which member of this shop crafted your item. Customer service is handled by Stacey in Washington.

EXPRESS AND OVERNIGHT SHIPPING IS NOT AVAILABLE. Please do not request delivery by a specific date. Please plan ahead and order in advance if you are purchasing gifts. Postage rates across the board are cost-prohibitive and guaranteed on-time delivery is too unpredictable to offer this service for the relatively small and lightweight items I offer in my shop. Priority Mail for most items is about as economical and fast as is necessary.

Orders are shipped via USPS Mail. With the exception of unusually large or heavy orders, shipping is free to anywhere in the continental United States. Tracking numbers from www.USPS.com will be provided for some items, not all.

Packaging and shipping materials will be VERY minimal and basic - No frills. We use biodegradable, mass market paper shipping supplies, such as manila envelopes, tissue paper, sticker labels and / or ribbon. Rarely, bubble wrap lined manila envelopes or recycled packaging will be used. We do this to minimize our costs and eliminate unnecessary waste.

If your order is READY TO SHIP:
These orders will be mailed as soon as your payment is confirmed and processed. See the item's "Shipping & Policies" tab for more information. This tab is found below listing photos, along with the tabs "Item Details" and "Reviews." This timeline does NOT include time for actual USPS delivery.

If your order is CUSTOM or MADE TO ORDER:
These orders will be mailed according to the timeline for each item's unique "Shipping & Policies" tab. This tab is found below listing photos, along with the tabs "Item Details" and "Reviews." This timeline can range from 1-3 business days up to 3 weeks, and does NOT include time for actual USPS delivery.

If your shipment is severely damaged or your items need to be repaired upon receipt, please send a convo message with photograph(s) attached if at all possible, and await further instructions. Use extreme caution when opening your package with knives and scissors. Endeavors cannot be held responsible for damage incurred while opening your shipment.

These policies help keep my prices lowered in addition to streamlining my Shipping & Handling process to get your order mailed as soon as possible.
Refunds and Exchanges
Please send a convo message regarding refunds or exchanges. Many items can be easily repaired. Any costs to ship an item after the original purchase for return or exchange will be the buyer's responsibility, however, Endeavors will cover shipping costs for repairs or replacements to be returned to the buyer.
Additional policies and FAQs
Custom orders are always welcome, clear communication is always appreciated, and positive reviews are deeply treasured. If you are interested in setting up a custom order, send a convo message with detailed information about what you'd like to have made. If it's possible and we can agree on a reasonable timeline, we will definitely do our best to create something you're going to love. Coquesia Belle by Endeavors has been "working from home" since 2010.
