HISTORY OF THE COSMIC AMERICAN OUTPOST

The Cosmic American Outpost began in 2011 as a pop-up shop on Mane Street in Pioneertown, California. Several local artists and small retailers collaborated in this shop, including Quarter Moon Curios (gems, crystals, jewelry, and vintage curios), Trailer Tags (Christy Anderson's recycled license plate art), Audrey Greene (painter), and Funky & Darn Near New (vintage clothing shop in Yucca Valley).
The pop-up shop closed its doors at the end of fall, but the folks at Quarter Moon carried on the dream and expanded its line to suit our customers who are seeking the desert chic.

Most of our rocks and crystals are offered on our sister Etsy shop, Joshua Tree Gems, while our western wares, vintage curios, and desert chic items are offered here in the virtual Outpost on Etsy.

Quarter Moon's gemstone jewelry can also be found at Zannedelions Boutique in downtown Joshua Tree, and occasionally at Funky & Darn Near New vintage clothing shop in Old Town Yucca Valley.
