This is a very high quality case and it shipped the same day I ordered it! I love the coordinating fabric inside and all of the seams are very well made. I bought it just to carry a cheap pair of sunglasses, but they padding is thick enough that it could be used for nicer glasses as well.

Working on a larger version of my Shadows quilt for a custom order. Finally happy with the color placement and ready to start sewing it all together.
Do you like deer? This fabric makes awesome coasters! Click to see the listing.

About

Like most quilters, I had a previous career...

I have been sewing most of my life, but it was always just a hobby for me. One day I got the courage to leave my career behind and dive into my hobby full time. I made handbags and quilts and sold them locally and even tried a couple of craft fairs, but the craft fair venue just didn’t feel right to me. I would rather sew (and sell) on a daily basis year round, so my Etsy shop was born.

I refer to my studio as the Cotton Cellar – where my collection of fabric and thread is just waiting to be blended into a wonderful new creation – just like a bottle of fine wine.

After working as a Drafter in the field of Engineering for over 25 years, the precision that was required in my daily work carried over into my hobby of sewing and quilting – and my customers tell me that it shows in my work.
I only use top quality materials and I take the extra time and effort to ensure that each step is completed to the best of my ability. When it’s finished, I know I’m completely satisfied with the end result, and I’m sure you will be too.

I seldom work from patterns and the quilts you will see in the Cotton Cellar will usually be one-of-a-kind quilts of my own design, and are totally made by me - with the help of my faithful sewing machines, of course! I usually start a new quilt by first designing it on the computer, just as if I were starting a new engineering project. My theory is “if I can draw it, then I can sew it” - so my drafting background serves me well.

I love my new job...
