Currently, we are in the process of switching from 1.75 x 1.75 inch bags and 2 x 3 inch bags to 5 oz jars and 10 oz jars and the corresponding prices. I often refer to up to date safe food options from researched based national hermit crab organizations. (If I wouldn’t feed it to my own crabs, I wouldn’t feed it to yours!)

Some of the finer powders make it difficult, if not impossible, to close the product bags completely and securely. To best avoid this, these product bags may not be filled to 100% capacity. Please handle these products with caution to avoid any spillage. Switching from bags to jars should minimize this issue.

Currently, shipping is only available within the United States.

This shop does not offer returns or refunds unless the product received is defective or damaged by fault of the shop. Damages during shipping is at no fault of the shop.

Most products in this shop are food grade and safe for human consumption. If so, it is typically noted in the item details section for each product. However, this shop does promote the food items for hermit crab consumption.

The shipping charges at CrabboCave are calculated by Etsy and are usually based on the total weight of the order, including packaging. Most customers purchase numerous items at one time which doesn’t greatly affect the price of shipping due to weight. Typically, there is a minimum shipping charge and that price goes up as more items are added, according to weight.
(Exception: USPS flat rate boxes for larger orders.)
