So What is Crabby Puddin'

A Crabby Puddin’ is a very magical type of creature that inhabits a special woodland. This woodland harbors a curious assortment of needle felted animal beings found only in a handful of locations in the world. These creatures endeavor from the fey to scientifically bent vocations.

This shop sells all sorts of poseable creatures, adorned and not, with smatterings of vintage bits, bobs, fabrics and leather. These toy novelties are designed and handmade by the artist Kim Wilson. Soon to come? Puppets, prints, fashion accessories: hats, cuffs, collars and scarves that would fit in the woodland or our own workaday world.

All the creatures and accessories in this shop are proudly created by one set of hands in the United States of America in the tiny town of Dittmer, MO.

About the artist:
The face (or hands) behind Crabby Puddin' is Kim Wilson. The other entity you will be seeing here is Dittmer ArtBarn Studios, the studio where she fashions her creations. She enjoys living in a combination of art and farm life. Sound weird? It's about personal re-invention and celebration of assets. I started thinking about the animals and the fact of our lovely equine rehab ranch and my art passion, then started exploring how to share it.

When my parents answered my most fervent obsession for a horse at age nine (well, it was my mothers horse but that didn't matter...) my life was forever changed. After over 25 years of school (double BFA, Double MFA), and nearly 30 years of Art Director on large thematic and graphic art projects for a large entertainment company, I decided it's nigh time to follow my heart and BELIEVE.

Returns and exchanges
Please be aware of the refund policy for my shop before ordering. It can greatly effect your satisfaction and overall sense of well-being if something happens to go wrong. Packages do get lost in the mail, it's rare - 98% arrive quickly and safely.

Within the United States:
All orders are shipped using USPS First Class Domestic Rate with Delivery Confirmation and insurance. An email is sent out with this information once the order has been shipped. Delivery Confirmation allows both the shop and buyer to confirm the delivery or location of the package. Refunds are based on the 'Delivery Confirmation' status of the package.

If the package is declared "Delivered" - the package has been delivered. Please ask others in your home, neighbors, and postal carrier if they have seen the package. No refund shall be given.

If the package is declared "Arrived at Unit" - the package has not been delivered. It is at your local post office. If "Arrived at Unit" is more than 3 days, print out the delivery confirmation information and go to your local office and ask for the package. They have to find it for you. No refund shall be given otherwise.

If the package reads as “in transit”, the package is stuck in the large and confusing organs of USPS. After 15 business days (3 weeks) of shipment date, if the package has not dislodged itself and arrived/changed status it is safe to say the package was lost by USPS. You will receive a refund or replacement for the order, as desired.

***Please consider shipping insurance, signature confirmation and/or priority mail for your order if you have any concerns about your package arriving safely and most importantly on time if for a special event.

Outside the United States:
All orders are shipped using USPS First Class International and does not have any tracking. Packages outside the United States can take up to 6 weeks to arrive - mainly because of customs. If the package does not arrive to it's destination, no refund will be given unless shipping insurance is purchased.

***Please consider shipping insurance, tracking and/or priority mail for your order if you have any concerns about your package arriving safely and more importantly on time.

E-books & Digital File Purchases:
Once purchased, digital file items cannot be refunded. Digital item sales are final and cannot be exchanged/refunded/returned. If however, you find that an digital file is faulty, please contact the shop immediately.

Exchanges and unhappy face causalities:
- If there is a problem with your order please email/convo the shop within 7 days.
- Buyer must return the item within 7 days of receiving the item. A refund will be given for costs upon return. The shop generally does not send out replacements with an expected later return of the original items.
- Returns are accepted for two weeks after a return label has been approved / sent to the customer.
Payment
- The shop accepts Paypal as payment and credit card through Etsy.
Shipping
- Feel free to contact the shop if there are any shipping concerns (post office isn't nice to you, you want the card for an event that's coming up soon, etc) when placing an order.

- Orders will ship within 3 business days (Monday to Friday, excluding holidays). If a product has a longer lead-time, or is custom made, this will be noted on the product listing page. Please take the time to read all the product descriptions.

- Orders are shipped to the address that you checked out with. If you would like to ship to a different address - please contact the shop.

- All the orders are packaged very carefully, rigid, between sturdy layers of cardboard or boxed.

- All orders have a 7 day return policy. Please contact the shop if there is an issue with an order.

- All orders are sent First Class Domestic with USPS delivery confirmation within the United States. An email is sent when your order is shipped with your shipping information - if you have not received this information, please check your spam folder and/or contact the shop.

- Shipping within the USA with First Class Domestic USPS takes typically 2 to 7 business days from Dittmer, Missouri - USA. In the event that USPS mismanages the package, it can sometimes take 3 weeks to arrive.

- Each order shipped within the USA has a delivery confirmation number that can be used as tracking at USPS.com. This number is sent to your Etsy email address and posted in your account "Purchases" area.

- The shop ships to international countries, but certain countries will include a mandatory shipping insurance fee!

- All orders are shipped internationally using USPS First Class International. There is no way to track international packages. Packages outside the United States can take up to 6 weeks to arrive - mainly because of customs. If the package does not arrive to it's destination, no refund will be given unless shipping insurance is purchased.

- Shipping insurance is valid for 90 days. Please contact the shop if you have not received your order in 30 days and have bought shipping insurance with your order.

- Upgrading orders to Priority Mail, Express Mail, UPS and even Fedex is possible. Feel free to contact the shop for these services // revised shipping prices.

- Shipping Insurance is strongly suggested. It covers up to $100 and costs only $1.25 USD for a package mailed in the United States, and $2.25 USD for international orders. Please contact the shop directly for insurance. There is a 90 day expiration date on shipping insurance.

- The shop is not responsible for any international customs and duties that may be imposed on large orders shipped to countries outside the US. Please check with your local customs office about rules and regulations.

Do you do any wholesale?
Not yet, though the thought is there! Please contact the shop with inquiries.

Can you customize one of your characters/puppets/illustrations for me?
Yes! Custom art commissions are available. Contact the shop for information.

Can I pay for my order without using Paypal?
Yes! You can also pay for your order using a credit card through Etsy.

Why does my country fall in the "Everywhere Else" shipping category and why is the shipping cost more than other countries?
You live in a country that requires a mandatory shipping insurance fee to ship your order. Insurance is valid for 90 days from the shipping date.

Can I buy more that one of a particular item?
Yes! But be aware, the characters are a one of a kind item. I can get close – but not exactly – there will be slight variations and possibly some significant differences depending if there are vintage items involved. All digital prints cards or illustrations – absolutely.

My order is missing something?
Human error! Please email the shop and it will be quickly resolved.

What is your return policy?

Can you send me my character quickly! I need it for etc, etc!, etc?
Typically, yes! Just email the shop the circumstances and expect a quick response. It's very important that you get your items in time.

Are you able to send an order as a gift to a special someone?
Happy to do so! Just two important requirements!
1. Let the shop know through email / or Etsy if the order is a gift and if you need something written with the gift. No flyers or invoices will be included.
2. Please double check and make sure that the address is correct. The shop is not responsible if it is delivered to the wrong address because of a customer error.
