Announcement   Welcome! Craft Room Overflow is the result of a bit of art supply hoarding on my part. I've collected vintage paper, ads, hymnals, fabrics, maps and more and with my shelves full and closets overflowing, I've decided to share some of my crafting surplus with you!

I spend so much of my time scouring my small southern town for amazing art finds! If you are looking for something in particular, let me know, and I'll keep a look out for you.

I hope you find something special at Craft Room Overflow and turn it into the masterpiece it deserves to be a part of!

Kit is supposed to contain fabric, needle, floss, instructions, frame, and chart. Only received the pattern, instructions, and the thread, that's it. No fabric, no hoop. Seller has offered a refund, so I have altered my review stars. Thank you.

About

The Thrill of the (treasure) Hunt!

For years I would dabble in with different types of crafting projects. From calligraphy to sketching to jewelry making, I was often working on some type of art project. As I got older, more and more of my time was designated to those adult things people are always talking about (work, relationships, filing taxes) which meant less time for crafting.

Though I'd stopped making hand-bound journals and shadow boxes, I still found myself buying craft materials. I live in a lovely small southern town that has more thrift stores than street lights and yard sales are happening all week long. I soon realized that I loved finding interesting, peculiar, and sometimes ridiculous materials more so than I did making things. So for a few months I continued to buy up boxes of doll hair and antique paper for projects that I planned to get to.... "someday....".

What propelled the opening of Craft Room Overflow is a blur. Perhaps a conversation about hoarding between a roommate and I, or maybe it was having a box of beads fall on my head. There might have been a few stubbed toes and a couple of accident needle pokes - but what's important to take away from this is that I did the right thing - I decided to share my finds with the (amazing!) Etsy community.

Now, I continue to search for unique items but instead of selfishly stashing them away for projects I won't get to, I instead list them here on Etsy for the real artists to use!

p.s. If you're looking for something in particular, shoot me a message and I'll keep an eye out!

I live in the Ozark Mountains where not only am I surrounded by gorgeous nature, but amazing thrift stores that are filled with unique crafting finds. I opened CRO the day I realized I love finding craft materials more than crafting itself.

Additional policies and FAQs
ABOUT VINTAGE ADS:
These ads are genuine originals printed over 40 years ago. Each ad is hand selected from magazines that are coming undone or already have loose pages. I only list ads that are in very good Vintage condition. These are not as crisp and perfect as the pages printed in current magazines but their condition is definitely impressive. Please note that white pages may have yellowing around the sides and that text from the other side can be seen through.

ABOUT BOOK PAGES:
As a self confessed bibliophile, I absolutely cannot bring myself to tear apart a perfectly good good (or even a perfectly falling apart and tattered book). All magazine, hymnal, music, & map pages have been found in books without spines and covers. Only if a book has been reduced to just a bundle of pages, do I list the item.
