I love the map of Koh Phangan Thailand that Marnie designed for me! My husband and I spent our honeymoon there and I got this map made for him as an anniversary gift. Marnie was so great to work with - she took the time to explain her process and gave lots of helpful advice when designing our piece. I am considering getting a different map made for my father later this year. Thank you!
It is a dream come true to be able to share my creativity world wide through Etsy. I've been "crafty" for as long as I can remember, I was voted "Most Creative" in high school (way back when), and I have always had a penchant for using my hands to create.
My creativity is fueled by everything around me, but especially the natural world and those little details that we often overlook: the two-second race of dry leaves down an empty street, the curve of a dog's whiskers, the waltz of wind through tree branches.
I believe that art should be affordable and that the value is based not so much on time or materials but rather its connection to the viewer and the ease by which the viewer can understand, smile, and say, "a-ha."
Paper is my favorite medium and always has been, but as my shop name connotes, I hope to offer other handmade works in a variety of media to fully merit the title, Crafterall.
A note about the paper I use:
For the base of every Topo Card and Wall Topo piece I make, I start with Neenah brand Classic Crest cardstock. This is Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified, carbon neutral paper made with 100% renewable energy.
About once a month, I collect the scraps from these and other paper-related projects and send them to Kendra at http://GreenPost.etsy.com. She works her green magic on those scraps to turn them into functional and beautiful recycled paper, paper pulp magnets, brooches and buttons, and plantable cards and tags with imbedded flower seeds. Some of those plantable cards come back to me, and I send them out as thank-yous with every order from my shop.
Who knew that being Green could be so beautiful?

Minnesota Customers: A sales tax based on your zip code is added to all orders for Minnesota Residents. If you pay using PayPal, you will see this added cost in your transaction details. If you're paying by money order, I will send you a message with the adjusted total amount due.
I ship through USPS using First Class mail, and I try to send your package within 24 hours of your cleared payment. For larger items, I purchase delivery confirmation and I will send you the label number via e-mail for you to track. If you would like an upgrade to Priority Mail or would like to purchase insurance for your item, contact me and I will prepare an adjusted invoice. I work to provide safe and fairly priced shipping options. If the shipping cost is much less than billed, I will gladly refund the additional amount through PayPal. International shipping prices are rough estimates; please feel free to contact me for an adjusted shipping amount. The buyer is responsible for all fees associated with items crossing borders.
Please make sure your Etsy and Paypal addresses are identical. If not, please clarify the address to which you prefer me to send your purchased item. Additional policies and FAQs
Q. Can you make that gorgeous papercut...again?
A. Yes! While each of the papercuts are one-of-a-kind, I can replicate pieces to look very similar to the original. I have done this several times with different pieces to the great satisfaction of my customers. Most of the cards can be replicated exactly upon request as well.
Q. Do you accept requests for custom orders?
A. Yes! I relish the opportunity to create a custom Crafterall handmade work for you. We can work off of an existing piece from my shop or create something entirely new. Please contact me to share your ideas and goals for a new project.
Q. Will you consider wholesale inquiries?
A. Yes! Large, bulk, and wholesale inquiries are most welcome. Please contact me with your interest.
Q. What's the best way to contact you?
A. You may either send me a convo via Etsy or e-mail directly at Marnie [dot] Karger [at] gmail [dot] com (brackets added for security only). I tend to check my e-mail many times a day and work to reply to your messages as soon as I can.
Q. Do you like marshmallows?
A. Yes! Raw, melty, burned, store-bought, homemade, flavored, plain, fresh, crusty: yum. (Circus peanuts do not count as marshmallows. Those are icky.)
Q. Do you ever have any sales?
A. Occasionally, but, if you've read this far, I want to thank you. To show my appreciation, use the coupon code "ISURVIVED" when you check out, and you will receive 10% off your purchase. Good on you! (Please use this code only once.)
