Ho sempre amato i gioielli unici e insoliti e i viaggi nelle gioiellerie e nelle boutique sono sempre stati deludenti. Non mi piacevano le cose che potevo permettermi e non potevo permettermi le cose che mi piacevano.
Crescere in una Polonia post-comunista mi ha insegnato che se voglio avere qualcosa di unico devo realizzarlo da solo. Non c'erano negozi di perline, quindi l'unico modo per farlo era usare perline di collane e braccialetti rotti, nastri tagliati da vecchi indumenti, strani bottoni trovati qua e là e conchiglie o minuscole pepite di ambra baltica trovate sulla spiaggia (il Mar Baltico lascia pezzi di ambra sulla spiaggia durante un temporale).
E così è iniziato il mio viaggio nella creazione di gioielli e continua ancora, anche se non ne guadagno molto. Quanto basta per me e qualche pezzo in più da vendere.
Perché allora un negozio di forniture e non una gioielleria? Le forniture sono ciò che amo di più dei gioielli che realizzo. Adoro ricevere nuove forniture, farmi ispirare da loro e immaginare cosa potrebbero diventare.
Le forniture che vendo qui sono quelle che vorrei usare. Sono unici, squisitamente realizzati e portano con sé una promessa di nuova ispirazione, infinite possibilità e pezzi finiti mozzafiato.

I have always loved unique and unusual jewelry and trips to the jewelry shops and boutiques were always dissapointing. I didn't like the things I could afford and couldn't afford the things I liked.
Growing up in a post-communist Poland has taught me that if I want to have something unique I have to make it myself. There were no bead shops, so the only way to go was to use beads from broken necklaces and bracelets, ribbons cut off from old garments, odd buttons found here and there and shells or tiny Baltic Amber nuggets found on the beach (the Baltic sea leaves pieces of amber on the beach during a storm).
And so my journey into jewelry making began and it still continues, although I don't make a lot of it. Just enough for myself and a few extra pieces to sell.
Why a supplies shop then and not a jewelry shop? Supplies is what I love more than the jewelry I make. I love to get new supplies, be inspired by them and imagine what they could become.
