Keeping What We Do Small and Personal
Welcome to Black Lantern! We are a small, handmade company based in Estes Park, Colorado with a passion for graphic design and a deep connection with the wilderness.
Kevin and Ginny Davis founded the studio in 2011 to create unique, hand-printed clothing that could bring the spirit of the outdoors to everyone.
The company soon started printing designs on a wider range of clothing, glassware, messenger bags, totes and plenty more. But we think we’ve remained loyal to our first principles. There are no automatic presses here – every T-shirt is still screen printed by us with original designs that reflect our devotion to the outdoor lifestyle. to survive the outdoors.
Starting a business isn’t easy, but it’s not “all work and no play” either; over the past five years, we’ve become ever more dedicated to trekking and camping. Our new Black Lantern brand was born from memories of nights sitting around the campfire. To us, a lantern represents a hardier lifestyle, but also that feeling of warmth and home at the end of a hard day’s trek, sitting around a fire with a cup of hot chocolate - or something stronger!
No matter where or how you live, nature is for everyone and the wilderness still has a strong influence on the American character. That’s why we work with The Wilderness Society to help preserve our outdoor spaces for future generations. We donate a portion of every single sale to help protect the lands we love and to keep them wild.
Our adventure still stretches ahead of us and we don’t know where the trail leads, but we intend to enjoy many starry nights on the way!

Ginny is the shop manager and helps manage new products, packaging and streamlining the process from idea to delivery. When she is not in the shop, she is busy raising our two young girls and spending time in the outdoors!

Running the production side of things, Eric has been with the company for the past 8 years and makes sure that every print and hat is top-notch! When he is not camping and fishing he is hand-printing every shirt order and sewing out the hats!

Frequently asked questions
Custom and personalized orders
We offer custom request such as
1.Different colored shirts on prints
2. Different hat styles on embroidery,
3. Different embroidery color on hats,
4. Other product not listed with our design
We cannot personalize items with names, dates or graphics unless you are ordering large quantities, have the graphic, and it is in the proper format. Fee's may apply for such custom requests.
Sizing details
Most of our clothing is true to size, there are a few variations we'd like to point out.
Women's Racer Back Tanks run small, these are more of a junior fit. The slouchy tanks run larger, order down a size.
Men's Cotton Blend may run a little smaller, order up a size.
Men's Tri-blend's are true to size, and run a little longer in the torso. This blend is also very light, and meant to be breathable, unlike the thicker cotton blend.
Sizing is listed on each t-shirt description for better measurements.
Care instructions
All of our glassware is top shelf dishwasher safe, but we recommend washing by hand.
The ink is permanent and heat set in oven.Prints will not fade or wash off.
Ink is FDA approved so you can feel safe about drinking out of these glasses.
Ink vs. Etching
We do not etch our glassware, every glass is hand printed and baked on with ink.
Why hasn't my order shipped yet?
We try to keep adequate stock of all of our designs, sometimes you, and 8 other customers all ordered the same design, and size, which means we have to order more blank shirts, to print your awesome design. Please bare with us. Our Print Manger Eric's life is to print, print and print some more.

We have a mix and match listing that allows you to choose a single rock or pint glass.

Exchanges
So your shirt doesn't fit, what do you do now?
We ask that you pay shipping back to us, include your order # and the size you'd like to exchange for, we will process your request once we receive the item back. Remember to include the order # and size or we can't help you.
