The road from cold feet to creativity
I learnt to knit and felt because I had cold feet - My first project was warm felted slipper boots. I learnt to knit on 4 needles, turn a heel and felt all at once.
Then I wanted a felt bag but had my own ideas about the design.
So I began to create.
9 years later I am still creating, still knitting, and writing my patterns for others to enjoy the creative process of knitting and felting too.
I do simple stitches and I do love shapes
and colors. So when I found knit and felt I was enchanted.
My first project was a pair of boot slippers. I learnt to
knit on 4 needles, turn a heel, and felt all in one project.
Not long after making my first pair of felt slippers I started
creating my own designs. I’ve learnt as I’ve gone along.
nine years later I’m still playing and creating new ideas.
I live and work in Leicester, Designing and knitting in my quiet studio with the company of Milo my beautiful lilac point Siamese .
I exhibited at at craft events 2007 - 2014 and in 2010
won a bursary award from Creative Leicestershire.
In 2013 I was asked to make a few guest appearances on Create and Craft TV to show my knitting kits and I have knit and Felt kits in various retail stores.
My patterns have been featured in both UK and overseas magazines. and since spring 2015 my patterns have been featured in “The Art of Knitting” magazine, published by Hachette Press,
In 2007, I started selling my knitted and felted bags at Craft and Design events, later I sold my patterns for other knitters to enjoy. I diversified into knitting project designs, my patterns have been featured in “The Art of Knitting” magazine,

All of my felted products are made from 100% pure British wool.
They are all my own original designs.
Cleaning felt bags
These bags can be maintained by sponging with a damp cloth, I find a microfibre cloth works best.
If the bag needs a more thorough clean you can hand wash it in warm water in much the same as you would a pure wool sweater. Use a very little laundry liquid or liquid hand soap.
Rinse it without lifting or wringing in cold water. Do not spin or tumble dry the bag!
Re- shape if necessary, and gently stuff with plastic bags or kitchen roll and allow it dry naturally.
I am of course very happy to clean your bag for you if you wish. I can do this for the cost of the postage.
My Patterns are all my own work - they take many hours to create and check. And a few years of learning my craft too!
