Announcement
I create unique & colorful engraved stone & glass pendants. I use a process known as sandcarving (sandblasting) to create hip, cultural and expressive jewelry that's fun to wear. Whether you choose a traditional symbol or a contemporary design, my pendants are created with your heart and soul in mind.
NOTE (1/31/15): I am sorry but I am no longer making engraved stone and glass pendants. I have started on some new projects (pewter repousse or tooling, embossed metal, and mosaic art). I'm even working on other items besides pendants. I hope you will check in now and then t see what's new!

5 out of 5 starsVery nice and precise. You should make full yantra pendants as well (nine interlocking triangles). Cord closing should be better, looks cheap and is very big.

About CreativeArtandSoul

I truly enjoy connecting with my customers at craft shows and festivals!

I spend many hours standing at my sandblasting cabinet in my garage. This is how I get dirty!
-
A view of a stone being sandblasted inside the cabinet. The mask on the stone protects areas I don't want to blast.
-
Once stones are sandblasted, I add paint to the designs, clean off the masks and assemble the components.
-
By the end of my day, my work-space is a complete disaster and is as dirty as I am.
A new life.
I inherited my entrepreneurial spirit from my own Father. As many kids, I started out with a lemonade stand around the age of 5. While in college, I started several small ventures and bought and sold everything from used furniture, imported rugs, brass knick-knacks and piñatas to help pay for school. I even dressed as a giant red chile with a green-stem hat and sold chile ristras (strung dried chiles) on the highway!
After graduate school, I gave up most of my entrepreneurial ventures for a career as a wildlife biologist. I was very passionate about my work and loved working outdoors. After 15 years of working for various agencies, I decided I needed a hobby, so on a whim I purchased a large industrial sandblaster. I learned many techniques online and most from trial and error. I blasted holes and etched designs into everything with a smooth surface that I could get my hands on: rocks, granite slabs for pet memorials, glass panels, ornaments, vases, bottles, and even wood toilet seats!
While buying glass to etch at a market in San Francisco, I came across these colorful large flat pendant stones, my eyes lit up like firecrackers and I had a major AHA! moment! Creative Art and Soul was born.
I strive to keep Creative Art and Soul as simple as possible, focusing mainly on pendants, and maintaining a consistent look that has become my signature brand. Now and then I'll experiment with a new look, but I always seem to go back to the basics.
My customers are what keep me going. I am so thrilled when I am able to connect a customer to a piece that is very personal to them, that touches their heart and makes them feel good. In turn, I get to create a personal connection with every one of my customers and that makes me feel fabulous! This is why I continue to create pendants with designs and symbols that convey an emotion, an affirmation, a statement, a story, a belief, a history, an interest, a moral, an achievement, a sense of community or belonging, a reminder, or a personal sense of being.

I'm always covered in grit which is really nothing new. As a kid, I was always covered in dirt from crawling around watching ants on the sidewalk, digging up critters in the yard or climbing trees to watch the birds.

The name Creative Art and Soul stems from my lifelong desire to unleash that nagging creativity bug, to produce something hip, cultural and expressive, and my willingness to look deep within my soul to find out exactly what I am made of and what fulfills me.
I pride myself on being a safe honest Etsy seller and buyer. I try to describe my items to the best of my knowledge. If you feel that an item is NOT as I described, please contact me first and I will gladly resolve the issue with you. I guarantee all my work and I want you to be pleased with your art piece. If you are not happy with the piece, I will refund your money minus shipping costs.
COLORS: I try very hard to accurately show my pendants by scanning the exact pendant you will be purchasing in the listing. Be aware that the colors of an image can vary widely from one computer monitor to another. What looks like dark blue on one computer can appear black on another. If the exact color of the pendant is very important to you and if the description isn't clear in helping you to determine the color, please convo me or email me @ info [!at] creativeartandsoul.com and I'll will try to answer an questions you may have.
