Created to be Creative
Welcome!
I suppose I was born to be creative. Three of my grandmother’s are major crafters. So I didn't really have another option. I learned to crochet from one, to knit from another, and was inspired to sew by yet another.
I learned to crochet when I was very young. My mom and grandma persevered and soon I was making various crocheted items. I didn't have any of my own patterns so I made mine up. Most of my work from those first few years is now quite painful to look at. After a few years my tension/gauge finally improved and I ended up with several nice finished projects. When I was about fourteen, my grandma finally convinced me to learn knitting. As soon as I mastered it I was off. For a long time I just made simple little squares and bags. Once I got my hands on some patterns my creativity took off. I love knitting and my family members will all testify that my hands are barely ever still.
My creativity has taken wings since last summer. I have invented and improved on several of my own patterns. When I’m not knitting I am usually sewing or working on some other various projects. Usually I am working on more than one project at a time. I love to experiment with new ideas. My work-space is usually buried in multiple projects; knitting, sewing, and others.
Overlooking our five acre farm my office, craft room, and studio all share the same space. Sometimes my work overflows into the rest of the house. All the items in my shop are 100% handmade. Most of the items I make are my own patterns or inventions. I hope you will take a few moments to look around and check out my shop.
Thank you
