Announcement Hey all! It's been forever! I had a real nice Spring show back home local and I am prepping for a large shave bowl drop here I hope in two weeks. Local has kept me busy for almost a year. I was able to get a larger used gas kiln, found for sale at a great price by a fiend, and can fire more items. So look for a drop around April 10th 2021

5 out of 5 starsNice shaving bowl. Admittedly I was looking for a soap dish because I have a beard, but it's too nice. I'll be using it for it's intended function even though my shaving duties are minimal to clean up the edges. The shipping and especially the TP packing were excellent! Thank you!

5 out of 5 starsMy husband has been looking for a shaving bowl forever! He has been using a French onion soup bowl. I bought him a shaving bowl for Christmas, but couldn't resist giving it as soon as it arrived. It is beautiful, lightweight and he reports that it works well. The bowl was shipped quickly and came with a soap sample too. Wonderfully friendly seller too! Thanks again :)

Creating raku work for the show "Through the Fire" For the Slanted Art Gallery, Montrose, PA
It's not just pottery. It's a lifestyle with art that’s affordable.
Using authentic handmade functional pottery has always been a joy for many folks in all walks of life. From the banker to the night shift factory worker, all should be able to enjoy the art and form of a nice handmade coffee or beer mug. Authentic functional pottery that is used every day might be banged up a bit, mug rim chipped , or have a sense of comfort and meaning you might be attached to. Authentic functional forms can also be a work of art, where the artist can show off a bit with design, color, texture, and many other ways on everyday household items. Everyday useful forms to brighten and spice up the days of routine to the point where art is part of the life style. Using a handmade shave bowl and brush for a morning shave or drinking juice from a handmade pottery cup far out weights anything mass produced by the millions. Each wobble of a rim, a fingerprint left in the glaze, or a bottom that might sit a bit unlevel all says it was touched a bit differently with each one and even in a set no two are the same. I will try my best on my days off from the factory to create work and help you find that special gift for your family, yourself, or a friend that will be used everyday. I do hope you enjoy the work of function, color, and texture.
