About

"Have things in your house that you know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful." William Morris

I started working with dye when I attended a number of workshops related to quilting 25 years ago. Since then, I've played with dye in projects ranging from class quilts for my children's school, to custom ironing board covers.
I keep my business small so I can hand paint every towel. I believe there is extra value in the hand-made item. I like to think that as you reach into the drawer for a fresh dish towel, your eye catches on the bright color of something I've done and it brings you a spark of warmth.

I've been working with Procion dye since my first quilt workshop in the 1980's. It always challenges me with new effects and techniques.

I strive to create dishtowels that hold up well and cause you to smile. I hand- paint each towel, then heat-treat it so the colors stay vibrant. Due to the nature of the hand-crafted item, each towel is slightly different than any other. I hope it causes you delight.
The towel is 100% cotton, with a tab in the top corner for hanging on a peg. It's the kind your grandma taught you to embroider on.
