The Romanian artist Cristian Hermeziu inherited from his Transylvanian ancestors the artistic talent, the skills and love to carve and shape the wood. After he painted hundreds of paintings and many walls of Orthodox Churches, Cristian developed a new technique to make his paintings come alive.
The way the artist shapes and paints the wood gives the viewer a beautiful flowing illusion that becomes addictive. In a fluid way, the shapes are fusing together revealing the mystery of a legend caught in a symbol.
The warmth of the material and the way it can be modeled made Cristian fall in love with the wood. This is the biggest reason the artist chooses to hand craft his pieces with traditional vintage tools instead of using mechanical tools and machinery.

The Carpathian forests are gifting Cristian with the most interesting materials that the artist, with his creativity, shapes, cuts, carves, sands, polishes, paints and lacquers to become the beautiful pieces you see here. The artist decided to share his gift with you in the shape of wearable jewelry so everyone can have it and share the story behind each piece, which is unique and as the artist love to say “Every piece of wood has a story waiting to be uncovered.”
