One of my most fondest memories of my childhood was sitting next to my grandma and watching her Knit. The yarn seemed to glide so effortlessly across her fingers, I was in awe as she would whip up a beautiful baby afghan or a pair of booties for a new grand baby. As I grew older I lost that love for crafting and it wasn't until I became a mother myself, the passion returned . I lived on the other side of the country from my g-ma and I couldn't have her teach me, so I starting to learn how to sew. I started making simple designs like crayon rolls and placemats. When I was pregnant with my second child, my daughter I stumbled upon a adorable little crocheted hat, I was going to purchase it for her newborn photo shoot but I couldn't find it anywhere. At that point I thought to myself "hey, I can make that" So, that night I went and bought my first set of crochet hooks and some yarn. From that moment forward I haven't put my hooks down. I went from knowing absolutely nothing about crochet to being able to read a pattern and produce something amazing within 6 months. Almost 3 years later, I am still going strong and I owe that to my grandmother. She in some way gave me the ambition to learn and teach myself everything there is to know in the crafting world. I don't create things for the money, I create things for the joy my items bring to people. One of my mutli-repeat customers ordered a pair of booties and a matching hat, to be worn at a baptism. I was completely honored to make the set for her. Knowing that those items were made by ME for such a intimate occasion was the best "review " I would ever receive .
