I love crafts, all kinds of crafts. Every year or two, I try a new one.
In 2012 I learned to crochet, and I absolutely LOVE it! I am fascinated by all the different colors, textures and varieties of yarn. I love the satisfaction of making things with my own two hands. For me, it is calming and satisfying. But most of all, I love to create things that others use and enjoy. I strive to make things that are beautiful as well as practical.
In 2013 I began making gifts for friends and family. Some were so impressed with what I'd made, they asked if I'd consider selling crocheted items. And that is how CrochetCraftsNC began. I really treasure and appreciate referrals from others. Happy customers are the best kind.
Note to those with allergies: I am sensitive to wool, so I use it sparingly, if at all. Everything is created in my pet-free, smoke-free home, so you can be assured that there are no allergens lurking in my finished products. All baby and children's items are made with either 100% cotton or acrylic yarn, so they are machine washable and will hold up well.
How I give back to others:
Each month, I donate hats to a local hospital, to help babies, children, and adults who are going through medical treatments.
At least 10% of the profits from CrochetCraftsNC go to Reece's Rainbow, a non-profit organization dedicated to finding families and raising support and awareness for special-needs orphans. (http://reecesrainbow.org/)
If you have any questions or comments, I'd love to hear from you.
Thanks for visiting my shop!
