Gorgeous, and I felt the photos do the colors justice. Very pleased. Bigger than I thought they'd be! Good price.

About

It all started with a hook

It all started a long time ago, when I was 8 years old, during a summer spent with my grandmother. She gave me a hook and taught me a chain stitch. I spent the rest of that year perfecting my new found skill. I crocheted my name, I made shapes, I was ready for more!

Every summer after that, my grandmother would teach me just a little more. I would go home and work on what she had taught me. Before long I was making little creations for baby dolls and having lots of fun. When I was 15 I made my first afghan. I was hooked! I taught myself to read patterns after that. I made everything I could get a pattern for; doilies, ornaments, blankets, you name it.

As an adult I realized that I didn't always need a pattern to create what I wanted. I could just picture it, and make it. It is so much fun to just make things from my head! I made and gave away so many things. I sold a few things too. I enjoy trying out new things and finding new things to create.

In 2006 a friend introduced me to Etsy and I was so excited. Finally I could share my creations with people all over! I met new friends and made new things. In 2010 my dear Etsy friend, Melanie, started to help me keep up with the demand for potholders. She still helps me, and contributes to the shop as needed. Though, both of us are finding our time to be quite limited these days. Family life and other responsibilities pull us from our time here, but we both do still try to find a few hours here and there to create things to share with you!

Hi! I'm Maggie. I have been crocheting since I was 8 years old. I like to think that I can crochet anything. Crocheting helps me unwind after a busy day. I love that I can make things others will love. :)
