Da bambina, mia nonna teneva me e mia sorella impegnate in casa: lavoravamo all'uncinetto, cucivamo e cucinavamo. Credeva che le bambine dovessero imparare a creare con le mani, e una delle prime cose che ci insegnò fu lavorare all'uncinetto in tondo. Ricordo che realizzavo dei piccoli cerchi che lei chiamava presine: quei ricordi mi sono rimasti impressi.
Passarono gli anni e non ripresi in mano un uncinetto fino al 2011, quando mia madre regalò alle mie figlie gemelle un set di uncinetti e filato. Ci guardammo l'un l'altra, chiedendoci cosa fare, così ci rivolgemmo a YouTube, guardammo dei tutorial e iniziammo a imparare insieme. Quel momento diede inizio a qualcosa di speciale.
Quella che era iniziata come semplice curiosità si è presto trasformata in una passione. Lavorare all'uncinetto è diventato per me terapeutico, creativo e profondamente gratificante. Mi ha aperto le porte alla creazione di oggetti fatti a mano e, infine, all'apertura del mio negozio su Etsy.
Oggi mi diverto a creare accessori per servizi fotografici per neonati, amigurumi e altri oggetti fatti a mano, oltre a condividere schemi all'uncinetto con chiunque voglia imparare e creare. Molti dei miei articoli sono ispirati alla creatività di altre appassionate di uncinetto e cerco sempre di aggiungere il mio tocco personale, riconoscendo il giusto merito a chi di dovere.

Lavorare all'uncinetto con Yvette
Growing up, my grandmother kept my sister and me busy indoors—crocheting, sewing, and cooking. She believed young girls should learn to create with their hands, and one of the first things she taught us was how to crochet in the round. I remember making little circles she called potholders—those memories stayed with me.
Years passed, and I didn’t pick up a crochet hook again until 2011, when my mom gifted my twin daughters a set of crochet hooks and yarn. We all looked at each other, wondering what to do—so we turned to YouTube, watched tutorials, and began learning together. That moment sparked something special.
What started as curiosity quickly turned into a passion. Crocheting became therapeutic, creative, and deeply rewarding. It opened the door for me to begin creating handmade items and eventually start my Etsy shop.
Today, I enjoy creating newborn photo props, amigurumi, and other handmade pieces, as well as sharing crochet patterns with others who want to learn and create. Many of my items are inspired by the creativity of fellow crocheters, and I always strive to add my own personal touch while giving credit where it’s due.
