Mijn naam is Aneta (zij/haar) en ik ontwerp gotische kruissteekpatronen. In de online kruissteekgemeenschap sta ik bekend als Cross-Stitch Vienna (niet te verwarren met kruissteekpatronen met een Weens thema).
Ik ben gespecialiseerd in gotische kruissteek met griezelige thema's. Hoewel ik dol ben op spoken, cryptiden en heksen, heb ik een bijzondere interesse in door mensen veroorzaakte horror. Op mijn website vind je veel kruissteekpatronen met waargebeurde misdaadthema's in digitale pdf-bestanden.
Hoe het borduurproject Wenen is ontstaan
Cross-Stitch Vienna is ontstaan uit mijn behoefte om te ontsnappen aan de onrust van 2020. Ik herinnerde me het rustgevende effect van kruissteekborduren uit mijn middelbareschooltijd en besloot het nog eens te proberen. Ik begon met het maken van een gepersonaliseerd huisdierportret met behulp van een gratis online tool. De ervaring was zo bevredigend dat ik besloot om te leren hoe ik zelf kruissteekpatronen moest ontwerpen. Op 5 januari 2001 lanceerde ik Cross-Stitch Vienna om mijn creaties te delen onder een naam geïnspireerd op de stad waar ik woon. Mijn patronen hebben vaak donkere en macabere thema's, waarbij de ontwerpen No Body No Crime en No Bodies No Worries bekende werken zijn geworden.
My name is Aneta(she/her) and I am a gothic cross-stitch designer. I am known in the online cross-stitch community as Cross-Stitch Vienna (not to be confused with Vienna-themed cross-stitch).
I specialise in gothic cross-stitch with creepy themes. While I love ghosts, cryptids, and witches, I am especially interested in man-made horror. On my website, you will find many true crime cross-stitch patterns in digital PDFs.
How Cross-Stitch Vienna Came to Be
Cross-Stitch Vienna was born out of my need to escape the turmoil of 2020. I remembered the soothing effect of cross-stitching from my high school days and decided to give it another try. I started by creating a custom pet portrait using a free online tool. The experience was so rewarding that I decided to learn how to design cross-stitch patterns properly. On January 5, 2001, I launched Cross-Stitch Vienna to share my creations under the name inspired by the city I live in. My charts often feature dark and morbid themes, with the No Body No Crime and No Bodies No Worries designs becoming signature pieces.
