This cone exceeded my expectations, and is exactly what I needed for my 18-year-old cat, who has to wear a cone for the remainder of his life. This cone is quite soft and plushy, while still being very sturdy. it is also lightweight which appreciate because my cat doesn't have to struggle to keep his head up. The straps that go around the collar were a necessity for me, since my cat is skilled at removing recovery cones. I thought maybe these straps might be too long / loose and would not keep the thin collar in place, but they worked perfect. this also means, that if you have a thicker collar, it will fit in those little loops. last thing, is that the cone is a little shorter than my other recovery cone, which is a good thing for me since my cat doesn't have a long neck or face, meaning he can see the world more easily.
