En 2023, un viaje de búsqueda por Francia marcó un nuevo capítulo en ese proceso. Recorrer mercadillos rurales, mercados de pulgas de pueblos y ferias de antigüedades regionales profundizó mi aprecio por las antigüedades y la artesanía europeas. Muchas de las piezas que encontrarán aquí hoy fueron descubiertas durante ese viaje, que transformó años de búsqueda en la colección que hoy me enorgullece compartir.
Cada pieza es seleccionada personalmente por un diseñador, valorando su carácter y su historia. Me atraen las antigüedades que considero entrañables: piezas con una hermosa pátina y un desgaste natural que invitan a usarlas a diario, creando un hogar con un aire personal, vivido y con un toque único.
También creo que comprar antigüedades es una de las formas más sostenibles de amueblar una casa. Darles una segunda vida a piezas bien hechas honra a los artesanos que las crearon, a la vez que reduce la demanda de muebles producidos en masa.

Curated by Joshua is an extension of my design studio, Joshua Smith Home & Design, and the natural evolution of years spent sourcing antiques for my interior design projects. I've long searched for pieces that bring soul, texture, and timeless beauty to a space — objects that reflect the character and warmth I strive to create in every interior.
For as long as I can remember, I've been drawn to homes that tell a story. I believe the spaces we create shape the way we live, gather, and feel, and that the most memorable interiors are collected over time rather than decorated all at once. Antiques have always been at the heart of that philosophy. Their craftsmanship, patina, and history bring an authenticity that simply cannot be replicated by newly manufactured pieces.
In 2023, a sourcing journey through France marked a new chapter in that process. Traveling through countryside brocantes, village flea markets, and regional antique fairs deepened my appreciation for European antiques and craftsmanship. Many of the pieces you'll find here today were discovered during that journey, which transformed years of sourcing into the collection I'm proud to share today.
Every piece is personally selected through the eye of a designer for its character and sense of story. I'm drawn to what I think of as livable antiques — pieces with beautiful patina and honest wear that invite you to use them every day, creating a home that feels collected, lived in, and deeply personal.
I also believe that buying antiques is one of the most sustainable ways to furnish a home. Giving well-made pieces a new life honors the artisans who created them while reducing the demand for mass-produced furnishings.
