About CurrysLeather
Family run manufacturer since 1946....
William F Curry Jr. started Curry's Leather Shop in 1946 on Summer Street in Boston MA....the leather district. He mostly did repair work on luggage when the airlines cared that they damaged someone's suitcase. They would send it to "curry" to have it repaired. He also manufactured luggage tags.
On April 1st, 1965, he moved the company from Summer Street, home to High Street in Randolph.
In the mid 70s, his son, Robert, the youngest, stepped into his shoes. Robert expanded their product line and manufacturing capabilities. On March 1st, 1978, he expanded the shop, took over the back buildings and purchased another warehouse. He made trips out to the cape, selling tags to every store in P-town. He sold wholesale luggage tags to luggage stores across the USA. His rabbit fur bags were sold as he finished them. Robert made the company what it is today - the line of luggage tags, industrial holsters and specialty items. Some of our past customers have been The Ritz, Samsonite, and Celtic Golf, just to name a few. Along with most of the local colleges and country clubs.
Robert's daughter, Jennifer, has been finishing tags for years. But in 2004, her father approached her with design problems. After solving them, she decided she wanted to expand her knowledge. She attended the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth for Graphic Design, Typography and Digital Media. She was the first Curry to attend and graduate from college. With her computer and design skills, she has taken the company into the 21st century. In 2012, Curry's expanded their promotional line and Jennifer designed her first wedding tag. It doesn't look anything like the popular wedding tags from today. From there, the wedding items took over. She has also taken to product development and has designed several new tags.

Additional policies and FAQs
We work with genuine full grain, top grain, natural, premium Italian and German bonded leathers. We do not use PU leathers.
Our tags are made to order. Since these items are handmade, there can be slight variations from tag to tag.
Natural Veg(short for vegetable) tanned leather is expensive. It goes through an organic process. No chemicals are used. It is the hide of an animal. You will be able to see natural imperfections in the leather. Scarring is part of the natural beauty of the leather. As this leather ages and it's exposure to the elements (sunlight, heat, water, etc.), it will get darker. This leather is based on Market Price. It is not always in stock. PLEASE ASK! :)
