Il mio negozio si è evoluto nel corso degli anni dal mio amore per la caccia e la vendita di oggetti vintage trovati nei mercatini delle pulci alla realizzazione di decorazioni murali artigianali. Inizialmente ho iniziato a fare mappe dell'Ohio da vendere con i nostri mobili rinnovati quando io e mia figlia eravamo venditori a spettacoli locali e pulci. Poiché le mappe vendevano sempre molto bene ai nostri spettacoli, ho scoperto che potevo portare questo popolare oggetto di vendita nel mio negozio Etsy dove potevo espandermi per creare a mano ogni stato e posta in tutto il paese.
La "State Side Collection" è un arredamento murale realizzato con mappe stradali vintage. Gli stati sono tagliati a mano dal compensato a cui viene applicata la mappa. I bordi della mappa sono avvolti con cura attorno ai lati del legno per dare al muro appeso un aspetto pulito e finito.
La "Wood Tones Collection" e la "Home Pride Collection" sono nuove per il negozio di quest'anno e sono realizzate con vari tipi di legno che sono stati incollati insieme su un sottile sfondo di legno, che li tiene solidamente insieme. Da queste bellissime combinazioni di legno, vengono tagliate le forme degli stati.
Mi è piaciuto molto conoscere i nostri stati e le loro forme interessanti mentre li realizzo. Ma ancora di più, mi piace trovare in ogni stato una casa in cui è amato come un luogo di nascita, un luogo di vita attuale o solo un luogo che porta bei ricordi. È un modo originale per personalizzare la tua casa con decorazioni uniche e per mostrare il tuo orgoglio di stato.
My shop has evolved over the years from my love of hunting for and selling vintage items found at flea markets to making hand crafted wall decor. I originally started making Ohio maps to sell with our refurbished furniture when my daughter and I were vendors at local shows and fleas. As the maps always sold very well at our shows, I discovered I could carry this popular selling item over to my Etsy shop where I could expand to handcrafting every state and mail all over the country.
The "State Side Collection" is wall decor that is made from vintage road maps. The states are hand cut from plywood to which the map is applied. Edges of the map are wrapped carefully around the sides of the wood to give the wall hanging a clean, finished look.
The "Wood Tones Collection" and "Home Pride Collection" are new to the shop this year and are made from various types of wood that have been glued together onto a thin wood background, which holds them solidly together. From these beautiful combinations of wood, the shapes of the states are cut.
I have very much enjoyed learning about our states and their interesting shapes as I make them. But even more, I enjoy finding each state a home where it is cherished as a birthplace, a current living place, or just a place that carries fond memories. It is an original way to customize your home with unique decor and to show your state pride.
