Hola mi nombre es Juleine (voy por Jules) y bienvenido a mi etsy Shop! Soy un entusiasta del café, nerd de los libros, fanático de la comida, amante de los animales y súper nostálgico de todas las cosas retro. ¡También soy una madre que se queda en casa de dos de los niños más agridulces que jamás conocerás! ¿Qué me inspiró a abrir mi tienda de Etsy? ¡Prepárate, es un poco una historia de fondo!
Hace un año, mi esposo perdió lo que él llamaba su "trabajo para siempre". Un día de febrero de 2019, fue a su reunión anual de negocios de toda la compañía en un centro de convenciones y en 5 minutos la compañía anunció que estaban dejando ir a todos y que pueden verse a sí mismos por la puerta. Esta empresa dejó a 415 personas sin trabajo para externalizar sus trabajos a una empresa más barata sin ninguna opción de reubicarse. Esto no solo afectó a 415 empleados, sino que afectó a sus cónyuges, hijos y bebés de piel de una importante fuente de ingresos. Fue el año más difícil de nuestras vidas y con ser una madre que se queda en casa con 2 hijos, nuestro mundo se puso patas arriba.
Tengo la bendición de poder criar a mis hijos y nunca perderme un momento de sus vidas. Además, ser una madre que se queda en casa significaba que solo teníamos un ingreso en el que confiar. Mi esposo es definitivamente la roca de nuestra familia y cuando perdió su trabajo, nos apresuramos a encontrar una manera de mantenernos a flote. Con el apoyo amoroso de nuestras familias, y 2 trabajos más tarde (eso incluye muchos viajes para él) encontró algo un poco más permanente.
El año en que mi esposo perdió su trabajo fue una experiencia reveladora. Nunca me empujó a encontrar un trabajo porque dijo que ya estaba haciendo el trabajo más importante del mundo, criar a nuestros hijos. Pero para mí no fue suficiente. Culpa de mamá con toda su fuerza, ¿estoy en lo cierto? Entre hacer malabares con mis dos hijos y un esposo que viaja mucho por su trabajo, necesitaba una salida creativa.
La artesanía me trae mucha alegría. Me encanta trabajar con mis manos y crear visiones personales en algo que pueda ser apreciado. ¡Quién sabía que podría haber un método de bricolaje para calmar mi ansiedad! Creó mi flujo mental para estar en el estado más meditativo de calma. ¡Me recarga ser la mejor versión de mí mismo! Y luego pensé para mí mismo, ¿por qué no mostrarle al mundo lo que me encanta hacer? Y aquí estamos, un año después de que mi esposo perdió su trabajo para siempre. ¡Quién sabía que eso implicaría que abriera mi negocio! ¡Qué diferencia hace un año!

Hello my name is Juleine (I go by Jules) and welcome to my Etsy Shop! I am a coffee enthusiast, book nerd, foodie fanatic, animal lover and super nostalgic of all things Retro. I am also a stay at home mom of two of the most sweetest sour patch kids you’ll ever meet! What inspired me to open up my Etsy shop you ask? Be prepared, it’s a little bit of a back story!
A year ago, my husband lost what he called his “forever job”. On a February day in 2019, he went to his yearly company wide business meeting at a convention center and within 5 minutes the company announced that they were letting go of everyone and that they can see themselves out the door. This company left 415 people out of a job to outsource their jobs to a cheaper company without any option to relocate. This didn’t just affect 415 employees, it affected their spouses, kids, and fur babies of an important source of income. It was the most rough year of our lives and with being a stay at home mom with 2 kids, our world was flipped upside down.
I am blessed with being able to raise my kids and never miss out on a moment of their lives. Also, being a stay at home mom meant that we only had one income to rely on. My husband is definitely the rock of our family and when he lost his job, we scrambled to find a way to stay afloat. With loving support of our families, and 2 jobs later (that includes a lot of traveling for him) he found something a bit more permanent.
The year my husband lost his job was an eye opening experience. He never once pushed me to find a job because he said that I already was doing the most important job in the world, raising our kids. But to me it wasn’t enough. Mom guilt in full force, am I right? Between juggling my two kids and a husband that travels a lot for his job, I needed a creative outlet.
Crafting brings me so much joy. I love working with my hands and creating personal visions into something that can be cherished. Who knew there could be a DIY method to calm my anxiety! It created my mental flow to be in the most meditative state of calm. It recharges me to be the best version of myself! And then I thought to myself, why not show the world what I love to do! And here we are, a year later after my husband lost his forever job. Who knew that would involve me opening up my on business! What a difference a year makes!

I cannot wait to create beautiful things that you’ll love incorporating into your own home! Each of the products I sell are something I personally love to do as a hobby or just have a passion for!
