Family that sews together, grows together!
It all started with a dream...
Cute and Funky was a simple dream that I had created when I was young. I always wanted to have a small business and be an entrepreneur when I was growing up. My dad was the biggest inspiration and helped me figure out my true talents in life. My mom Kathy (who is still along on this awesome journey with me) taught me how to use a sewing machine was I was in grade school. I started making simple items, mostly purses. Sewing came naturally to me.
Fast forward to high school. I took a sewing class and started making clothing. I was very familiar with a machine so I rose to the head of the class. My teacher loved me and saw my potential.
I attended college and graduated with an Associate's Degree in Fashion Design and a Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Marketing and Management. I also finished school with the love of my life, Mike at my side.
Our first daughter was born and the need for more sustainable and reusable items arose. We were using way too many disposables, and started creating items to make simple swaps around our house. Nursing pads were one of the first things we created, along with some facial rounds. We put some of our items up for sale, and it was a hit!
We found out that others had the same issue our household had, and decided that it was our destiny to help be a change the world needs. Our family has grown to now 3 children over the past 8 years, and our business has grown as well. We adore helping preserve our Earth, and want to give our children a better future by showing them the right way to care for the only planet we have been given. Sustainability and low waste is our present and future. We as humans need to do better, so we hope you will enjoy making the switches to low waste and sustainability with us!

I have been sewing since at least 8 years old. I went to school for Fashion Design and Fashion Marketing and Management. I have always wanted to start my own business so C&F was created. I design, research, sew and keep up with all financials of C&F.

Care instructions
Wash in warm water with little detergent. Dry on low or medium. Be sure to use a lingerie bag for nursing pads and cotton rounds so they don't get lost in the washer agitator. Please don't use fabric softeners or dryer sheets as this leaves a residue on them. The residue decreases it's absorbency.
Custom and personalized orders
Feel free to send me a message to create a custom set of nursing pads specific to your needs. I also keep a large selection of fabric on hand to keep my rotation of classics and trendy fabrics going!
Sizing details
I make one size of cotton rounds, but can make a larger size. Please message me for the bigger one.
Nursing pads come in 2 sizes. 4" is the average size, and 5" is the larger size. Each section of the shop has the pads listed in there. If you see something in 4" that you need in 5", feel free to send me a message.
Fleece diaper liners vary in sizes so please be sure to read the listing to find the right size for your needs.
Allergens
All items are handmade with love and care in my smoke free and now pet free studio. We do have cats in our home, but are not allowed into the studio area. We do our absolute best to rid the products from any stray hairs, and keep them away from fabrics/products. Even though we keep all items in plastic baggies and tote bins, we can't guarantee that dander/allergens are still present. We suggest washing items before use to rid of possible allergens. We are also a nut friendly house.
Is your packaging eco-friendly and recyclable?
We now offer zero waste packaging in our shop! We use a 100% paper padded mailer, and wrap all items in a recycled paper wrapper for most orders. International and heavier orders may receive a biodegradable and recyclable polymailer instead to help keep shipping costs low for both Cute and Funky and you, the customer.
Larger grey polymailers are used when no other mailer will suffice for an order. They are not biodegradable but can be recycled. These mailers protect your items from weather damage and sealed against tampering.
We will always do our best to use pre-used packing materials when we can, so if you receive some that are plastic, we are hoping that they stay being reused to the fullest extent of their life.
When will my item ship?
We are now on a 10 Business day turn around time with some items. Items that are premade and on hand may ship sooner.
* We will be having our local postal carrier come to pick up our shipments. What this means is that we will be printing labels ahead of time, and scheduling the pickup to happen on the next day. Your tracking information may, or may not be up to date and current until the packages are picked up and scanned in.If you see "Pretransit" please note your order is ready for the pickup. We do not sit on postal labels. Contact your local P.O. if you need more information on your order location.
