I specialize in extremely unique and detailed inlay cutting boards, and am the home of some amazing book coasters and gamer coasters (amongst many other things). I can UV print almost anything, and paired with a full wood shop, i'm able to make some pretty amazing stuff for you. yes you. maybe because you have a wedding coming up... or know someone with a birthday.. or you just wanna spoil YOU.. its all good you came to the right place.
What makes Cutting Boredom so awesome?
I don't get wholesale boards that are made in asia, laser them here, and call them a "USA made product". All my boards, I make right here in the good 'ol US of A, using real saws and actual glue. My wood thins are made from left over board scraps, so I create nearly 0 waste, and reclaim/recycle wood as much as possible into smaller products like bottle openers and coasters and finger surfboards, and much more!
Heres a wacky idea too.. my images are actual images as well!! (wait, what?) I dont make mockups of what it "would" look like in photoshop. I take photos of real products, for you to look at with your real eyeballs! Hooray!
While I can do custom wedding, anniversary, graduation, bday, etc... my special focus is very complex and amusing inlays. The inlays are etched deep into the board, and sanded smooth to the touch. Using different wood species, I'm able to make durable and useful boards with high contrast, color, and a splash of personality. Every chump on etsy can do laser etch (and for some reason ALL choose to rip off each other's breaking bad memes and a lot of my designs?), so my goal is to turn this cutting board ship around and bring real quality to the table or counter or wherever it is you chop stuff.

5 out of 5 starsIt’s my second time to order a batch of the coasters. I was awed by the workmanship before and even more now with the upgrades. They look like miniature books, that I’m torn if I should let people use it =). If they get worn out, I’m probably going to order the same list plus more, lol. Honestly, I think they will last. My first batch are still looking good after 3 yrs. I think I’ll just add more and more to my library eventually <3

I literally attempt to create 0 waste. Most woodworkers would throw out a board with a knot in it, I see a HADOUKEN!
This is the home and originator or the most insane novelty cutting boards in all the land.
I am a designer. I went to school for it. I worked in the industry. And now i am a serial entrepreneur (even though i really dont like the term "entrepreneur" for some reason). One day, the Zombie cutting board popped into my head. A few illustrations and some shop time later, i had a kickstarter campaign funding over 700% goal. My boards were featured in gizmodo, dude i want that, nerd approved, and a ton of other blogs. How cool?? But why stop there?
I began looking at the cutting board as a blank canvas for an often time overlooked area of the kitchen. Sure, people do really nice end grain blocks, a few do laser etched boards with wedding stuff or the exact same breaking bad meme rip offs (seriously, why does EVERYONE do the same damn thing??)... but I strive to take it farther, and provide to you a quality board with the highest possible quality inlays, laser etch, and specialty materials! My boards are designed to fit a variety of styles, needs, and tastes, but the theme is generally the same... Make cutting boards KICK ASS! I aim to add some whimsy and fun to the room you should be in at least 3 times a day, and do it better than anyone else out there.
I do wedding, birthday, anniversary, graduation and custom work as well, if you have something in mind, please run it by me!
I can honestly say, my boards are 100% made in the USA. Where most people on etsy purchase their lovely wholesale bamboo boards in from distributors or overseas, and then call them "made in the USA" because they are laser etched here... I actually purchase lumber and cut/glue/sand/etch/inlay/sand/finish sand/seal them right here in San Diego. My hands touch every square inch of them, and the scrap recycles into smaller projects and wood thins. You will not receive foreign made product from me. I dont do photoshop mockups in my images either. Everything shown is 100% real products, and i wont display them until it has become a real product.
I now have branched out into Doormats, Coasters, Kitchen Towels, Signs, and so much more!

Returns and exchange details
Shipping
I usually ship priority mail to the US. I try and find the cheapest shipping rate possible, but due to the heavy weight of these boards, parcel select is often more expensive than priority flat rate options. I wish I could make shipping less expensive, but it is what it is. The bright side is, with priority mail you do get tracking and shipping is usually very fast!
For western USA buyers, please message me to calculate shipping if you are buying multiple boards or an 11x14" or larger size board. Often times I can get a less expensive shipping rate for the western US states. I will create a custom listing for you if this is possible!
If you have been delivered an incorrect product, I will replace it at my cost, including return shipping. I will also assume cost for replacement of defective boards (VERY rare).
If your board was not delivered due to being provided an incorrect address, I cannot be responsible for this. Buyer must assume cost of re-shipping. Please contact me immediately for products that experience damage during shipping. This has been a rare occurance, but I would like to attempt to reclaim shipping insurance for these cases.
DISCLAIMER: For international packages, SOMETIMES they are held for customs, which may cause shipping delays. It is also a possibility that your board will be imposed duty, VAT, or import fees separate from shipping. Etsy advises that the seller (cutting boredom) not be responsible for these fees because they are not imposed on every package. If you are non- US, please check on the possible costs involved with this and be prepared if you get notice that your package is being held for those reasons.
