Bought for my niece's birthday. She loved it! It arrived on time. Everyone happy.
I've always loved combining pretty colors to make things - crayon, then markers, and fabric when I was younger, moving into tye-dye. I picked up gardening, and photography after I finished college. And more recently it's been website design, photoshop, dyeing my own yarn, and of course fused glass and jewelry... you get the idea. If it's pretty, comes in lots of colors (especially purples), and I can buy way more than I can use or store - I'm going to love it.
For the last ten years it has been glass and jewelry that have captured my attention. I love the depth and color, chaos and order than can all be found in glass. For glass it's all about the result, and sometimes the surprises.
With beads, my love is more about the process - finding colors that complement, arranging sizes and shapes until it looks right, and the motion of my fingers as I assemble. I can be very detail focused so for me its a bit like meditation. Using bead combinations lets me use even more different types and colors in a small space, and a bit of organically inspired chaotic detail to a larger piece.
With wire working and metal techniques, what I love most is using my hammer. Not sure what that says about me, though....
Because I enjoy experimenting or learning a new technique, you are likely to find a lot of variety in my shop. I like to think it's making the most of a short attention span.
