Women's clothing crafted from repurposed fabrics and boho jewelry made from glass beads, gemstones, and metal

I've been working on some form of fabric work, sewing, or clothing since I can remember. Even when I was about 5 years old, I would draw pictures of ballroom gowns with a variety of embellishments. Throughout my childhood, I always had some kind of project in my hands. I loved making gifts for my family and friends.
I began sewing my own clothes at the end of high school, and this became one of my greatest obsessions. I could stay up all night working on some piece of clothing. I started dabbling in quilting and jewelry making in the last 10 years. Oftentimes, I would start making a quilt not knowing who it was for. But as the quilt began to take shape, I invariably realized the person it should go to.
I find making jewelry similar to sewing because you have the experience of piecing together colors and components to create something of beauty.
I believe strongly in the need to reuse, repurpose, and recycle the multitude of discarded leftovers in our world. Upcycling clothing is one way (and my favorite), I work to reduce my carbon footprint.
To make my clothing designs, I search for clothing made from good quality fabric in colors that will combine well. To me this is like making a quilt! I wash all fabrics before cutting clothes apart. I then look for color and fabric combinations that are pleasing. I lay out parts in different formations and finally decide what style will work best for the parts and fabrics I am using.
Sometimes, my final pieces have tattered ends, but not always. The clothes I make are comfortable to wear, yet figure flattering.
I am happy to customize a piece of clothing that has been paid for. I can add pockets, lengthen or shorten, ties, patches, lace, or whatever. Email me with your questions.

Welcome to my shop! All of the clothing I sell is made from gently used clothing. Some items may have imperfections which, I believe, add to the character and charm of upcycled clothing. I've also been collecting quilt and other fabrics, laces, beads, and embellishments for over 40 years. I often include them in the clothing I make to create one of a kind pieces for you. I wash all of the articles of clothing before recycling them into something new. Once a new piece is complete, I wash it again so you can see what the piece will look like.
