About

I make art inspired by my background in animation and music.

I'm fortunate to have had a colorful career in the creative arts and my visual art is inspired by that experience.

As a writer for children's television, I worked with The Muppets' JIM HENSON and Marvel's STAN LEE. I held staff positions at legendary animation studios Hanna-Barbera and Marvel, and freelanced for Disney and DIC.

My produced work has been seen on NBC, CBS, ABC, and PBS. My writing and show-running credits include iconic programs: SCOOBY DOO, THE SMURFS, THE SNORKS, THE JETSONS, THE MOONDREAMERS, and the animated FRAGGLE ROCK.

In live-action, I co-wrote the story for the special "Dog City" episode of The Jim Henson Hour television show, for which Jim won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Directing in A Variety or Music Program. The show inspired an animated spin-off series of the same name. I also co-wrote the Warner Bros. cult classic comedy motion picture, CLASS ACT, which starred the popular rap duo, KID 'N' PLAY.

Early in my career, I was a singer and occasional songwriter, working clubs as part of a jazz trio.

I've exhibited paintings, drawings, photographs, and installations in gallery and museum shows for over 25 years. For the past several years, I've focused my work on colorful, geometric digital drawings, but I still love the old school magic of drawing with pencil or pen.

My colorful work is inspired by my professional background in music (jazz vocalist) and the animation business (writer for Scooby Doo, Fraggle Rock, The Smurfs, and more). I think of myself as a visual musician and my artwork as compositions!
