DAYFINEARTS

I am an artist living on the Isle of Purbeck - the inspiration for my paintings. I also working in London as a freelance artist in the Film industry.

My abstracted landscapes are a response to my local environment which I regularly walk, cycle and swim through. These emotional landscapes are distilled into simplified forms with a refined palette to try and capture the true drama and essence of living on that infinite boundary between land and sea.

Working on watercolour papers with acrylics, charcoal and pastels I combine each medium to add variation to my mark making and colour quality.

I have a BA Hons Fine Arts painting degree and a Masters from the Royal College of Art.

The original paintings are created on A2 - A0 (St Cuthbert's, Windsor & Newton or Hahnemuhle - Archive Quality Papers 450gsm - 640gsm).

My Limited run full colour Giclée prints (1-100) are printed on Hahnemuhle German Etching Paper and posted out in card rolls or supported card envelopes depending on size.

In addition to my full colour prints (1-50) I have my monochrome work. These are smaller prints that are hand signed with additional hand finishing (once printed) with compressed charcoal and pastels, making each print individual.
