Shopping is not a passion of mine but finding treasure has always been at the root of most of my hunting excursions. I hunt, buy and sell-- it's a way to buy what I love and then do it all over again. I'm constantly searching for unique and fun pieces for my shop, Style House DC. I have a little bit of everything... but if you don't see it, I can get it! Hunt, Buy, Sell-- That's what I do. I try to buy high quality items with little wear. Sometimes I may feature a piece that needs a little work but you'll know exactly what needs to be done. I'm very accessible and always offer design help to my customers. People call me, send me their wishlist, ask me to find something for them-- I love it!
If I don't get back to you within a day-- don't fret-- it usually means one of my children is in need of some attention. ; )

Style House D.C. accepts credit card payments through Etsy and PayPal. At this time we cannot offer layaway plans. Some items may have D.C. sales tax added but most will not.
When items are large and costly to ship, I do my best to keep the price low to allow for shipping costs.

Most items (Art, Lamps, Decorative) ship via USPS, UPS or Fed Ex Ground. If express shipping is desired, please message me before purchase. Small items will ship between 1 - 5 days. Larger items and furniture, 1 to 3 weeks, depending on the item.

All large furniture items (chairs, tables, desks, etc) ship via Greyhound Package Express. The item is delivered to your nearest Greyhound station, they call you when it arrives and you pick it up. The cost of shipping through Greyhound is a fraction of what other services charge. Once shipped, delivery time takes 3 - 7 days, excluding weather delays. Please include phone number with your order.

UShip offers two ways to ship: Either you establish a set shipping price for your item(s) and wait for a driver to accept your offer. The other option is to open your shipping request to bidding.

I work with private delivery drivers who travel across the country. If time is not an issue, let will schedule pick-up when their route allows. Sometimes it works out in a matter of days and other times 2 to 3 weeks, depending on your location and delivery schedules.
Refunds and Exchanges
All items are vintage. That means you'll find scratches, nicks, dings, etc. If something is slightly damaged or in need of repair-- you will find that information in the item description. I do my best to describe every item accurately and I'm always happy to send detailed photos, speak directly over the phone or answer any questions.

Before making a purchase, please be sure to measure your space and check the item dimensions carefully. It is the buyer's responsibility to make sure the item is the right fit. If an item is too big or small, once purchased, item cannot be returned. (Please See Exceptions)



In the event of a return, buyer must pay return shipping fees. Refunds will only be given for the actual selling price of the item. Original shipping fees WILL NOT be refunded. Some items can be purchased on approval, but please be advised, BUYER MUST ESTABLISH A RETURN AGREEMENT IN ADVANCE OF PURCHASE.

In order to issue a refund for items that are not deemed "Returnable," buyer must show that the actual item was grossly different from the description, condition and pictures provided on Etsy or through messaging.

Items arriving damaged must go through the claims process of the actual carrier. Every effort is made to refund damaged items immediately but in the case of an expensive item or a suspicious circumstance, please allow the allotted days, as directed by the carrier for damage claim resolution.
