Great Aunt Mary Frances
Great Aunt Mary Frances
DDV is for lovers of vintage jewelry clasps and furniture with hairpin legs. It's for those who like adding a 60's cocktail ring or lucite cufflinks to a contemporary ensemble. I believe that great design never stops and that a mix of old and new creates an atmosphere of harmony with the past and present.
I can pinpoint exactly when my love of vintage began. I was in 3rd grade when my Dad received the news that his elderly aunt Mary Frances had passed away and that she left her home and everything in it to him. I know this sounds like the beginning of a fairy tale and it did kind of feel that way to 8 year old me. I got to miss school for a few days while my parents and I drove a U-Haul from Jacksonville Florida down to Delray Beach.
What we found inside the home was a huge mess with a lot buried treasures. Aunt Mary Frances had once lived with a few roommates- in my mind they were just like the Golden Girls!
The other women had passed away years before so my parents were left with the possessions of 3 fabulous ladies to contend with.
To me this sounds like a dream but to them it was a huge hassle. However, we all agreed that there were some amazing finds in that place. To this day the majority of my favorite vintage items belonged to Aunt Mary Frances. Among my most valued possessions are an antique candlestick phone that someone converted into a lamp and her fabulous vintage jewelry collection.
Oh how I would love to go back there with my adult eyes and sort through her belongings all over again. Now, with Diamond Dust Vintage I am able to relive this childhood event almost every weekend at the estate sales I frequent. Of course this could turn into a hoarder situation really quickly so I release (most of) my finds out into the world for fellow vintage kindred spirits to scoop up.

Keep in mind that the beauty of these items is that they have been around a while and thus will show some signs of love/use. I do my very best to describe items accurately and include all flaws I find noteworthy.
I try to describe and show accurate colors but all monitors render color differently. I can't guarantee that the color of your purchased item will be an exact match to what you see on your screen.
Please message me with any and all questions prior to purchasing. I am always happy to send additional photos.
CANCELLATIONS: I will consider canceling an order if I have not yet shipped it. However, since Etsy charges a fee to re-list the item a $1.00 restocking fee will be applied for each item in the cancelled order.

Additional policies and FAQs
Overview: Layaway can be applied to any item totaling $100 or more. Payment will be split into 3 installments over a 30 day period. The first payment is considered a deposit and is required to reserve the item. Please also read the more detailed section below:
Layaway (the fine print)
30 day layaway can be applied to any item or items totaling $100 or more. The total price will be divided into 3 equal payments, with shipping added to the final invoice. I offer free shipping within the United States. International buyers, If purchasing several items I will combine shipping on all of them, which will lower the shipping cost.
I require a deposit of the first 1/3 payment to reserve the item(s) for layaway. For example, if an item is $180 then $60 will be required as a deposit. The remaining two payments are required to be sent within 30 days of the date of purchase.
I will send 2 Paypal invoices within the following 30 days. The specific dates will be agreed upon by myself and the buyer. The final invoice will be equal to the final 1/3 payment plus the total shipping costs.
Once paid in full the buyer will need to complete the transaction through Etsy by adding the item to their cart and choosing “other” as the payment type. This completes the transaction through Etsy but does not charge the buyer any additional fees. Etsy takes a percentage of each sale so this step is necessary for me to honor my seller agreement.
Please note that these payments are non refundable. Once the buyer commits to the purchase and sends the initial 1/3 deposit we are in a business agreement to honor the sale. Failure to pay an invoice will result in the termination of the sale and the item will be re-listed and made available to other buyers.
