A Custom Invitation Studio

DG Invites was the result of a big push from friends and family almost 8 years ago. It started out as random jobs here and there for those I knew, to jobs for those I didn't, then a website.

Getting laid off from my job in Corporate America almost 5 years ago was the final push that was needed to help us fly. It was all in or nothing for DG Invites. After a name change, several websites, logo revisions and so much more, I stand here today absolutely blown away by how far it has all come.

Without our wonderful Clients, Wedding Professionals, Friends and Family this would not be possible....so we would like to say THANK YOU!! Your kind words and referrals are what keep us going. We appreciate each and every one of you & are very grateful to have made it this far. We look forward to many years of business to come!

HOW WE WORK - Wedding Invitations

1. Decided on an invitation? Great...the first step is to purchase a $100.00 deposit listing to get started. This deposit is good towards any of our invitation designs and allows us to begin the proofing process.

2. Once the deposit has been paid, you will receive an email from us requesting any information we may need to create your proofs. (colors, names, date, location, etc.) If you have wording in mind we would love to know, if not we can plug in your basic information into any number of wording options.

3. Within three business days you will receive an electronic proof from us. Once received we ask that you carefully review all proofs for design, grammar, spelling, fonts and wording. We don't always know the correct spelling of names or venues so please review everything carefully.

4. Once you review the proofs, let us know if there are any changes you would like made, if not you can give us your electronic approval to print via email. We will continue the proof process until you are 100% satisfied with the final design.

5. Once 100% approved the remaining balance is due which will allow us to send this to print. Depending on the season, the quantity and the complexity of the invitation, this could take up to 6 weeks, although it is normally much sooner within 1-2 weeks. Keeping that in mind if you need your items by a certain date, please let us know BEFORE placing your order!! Items can be completed sooner...time allowing and some will require an additional rush fee.

6. Once your order is ready, we will let you know when we ship and the tracking number.

We encourage you to discover the uniqueness our designs have to offer. Whether you have something simple or extravagant in mind we look forward to working with you. Here at DG Invites we strive to capture the feel of your special day to make sure your guests know they will be attending something amazing! No budget is too small to come up with something all your own. Business is going great, so if you are interested in working with us, please make sure to do so with plenty of time. The 2011 is so far our best yet!! Please also remember many of the things you will see take time to make, very few can be rushed. Please factor this in when planning and ordering.

Currently we accept personal checks, money orders and payment via PayPal.

Please note that you do not have to be a member of PayPal to send a payment.
Shipping
Once an order is finalized it will be anywhere from 1-4 weeks before it is shipped depending on how detailed the item is. Stationery orders normally ship out 1-3 days from proof approval. During busy times it may take up to a week to ship. If you need it by a certain date, please let us know. We ship USPS and Priority Mail...please be advised, DG Invites is NOT responsible for any lost, stolen or damaged items during the shipping process. It is your responsibility to request insurance for your items, which is an additional cost. We are also able to ship via fedex or UPS, contact us for pricing.

Unless specified, we always ship to the Etsy address listed on the transaction receipt, please make sure it is correct.
Refunds and Exchanges
Due to the fact that everything is custom and handmade there are no returns on items once they are printed. If you wish to cancel an order or change an order you must do so as soon as possible to avoid something being printed. If you are unsatisfied with your purchase please contact us to work something out. To avoid mistakes you must approve a final proof of yout items via email/convo. Any mistakes approved by you are not the fault of DG Invites.

We hope you find the following very helpful as you plan your event! It is just a bit of information to show you how we work everyday.


Make an Appointment or Contact Us Online
This is one-on-one so that we can help you decide on an invitation style and colors that are all your own. If you are not from the area, don't fear. We are able to work over the phone and email just as easily. There are many ideas to choose from or we can come up with something else you had in mind! There is no charge for appointments. If you are local in many cases I can come to you, you can visit me or we can meet in a more neutral location such as a Starbucks. After our initial conversation, and we have an idea on what you are looking for we will provide you with a custom price quote. If this quote is acceptable we will proceed with the design process. This requires payment of a $100.00 dollar design fee which is non-refundable if you choose not to place an order. Although, it is credited toward your order. We do this because the design process can take many hours, even days.


Pricing
Pricing is determined by a number of things: quantity, the type of paper used, additional items ordered, type of printing, design elements, embellishments, etc. We work with budgets of all sizes and strive to create something unique for your special day!! Our pricing tends to range from $3.00-$10.00+ per set. Set = Invitation, invite envelope, rsvp card, rsvp envelope and a second insert card. No matter what your budget is, do not hesitate to contact us for a quote, we will see what we can do!

Customization
With DG Invites you are able to create something completely one of a kind for your event or you can choose an invite we have made in the past and make it your own. You have the ability to customize fonts, wording, ink colors, paper colors, types of embellishments, layers, pockets, bellybands and so much more!


Printing
We offer digital, offset, thermography (raised) and soon to be letterpress printing, in any color you choose. We can also print your envelopes ~ return address, rsvp address, guest addresses. We do so in a font to match your invitations or a more calligraphy style font.


Place Your Order
Make sure you know exactly how many of each item you will need. You can order any item in any quantity and there is no minimum purchase. If you decide to order more at a later date pricing may vary. In a rush? Many orders can be completed in a week or less for a $50.00-$200.00 rush fee. The design fee will start the proofing process. Once we have come to a finalized invitation a 50% deposit is due and a contract is signed. If you choose to cancel before anything is ordered or printed a refund will be given minus the design deposit. If you cancel after items are ordered/printed refund is awarded minus cost of. You are welcome to stop by to see items before you place an order or request a sample. Final payment MUST be made prior to delivery or shipping of any items.


Want a Sample? No Problem
We can usually get a sample out in about a week. Depending on the papers chosen only some will come in the colors you chose. Please note that most papers are ordered in bulk. We may not have your paper in stock so we will send a mockup, not in your colors but with little swatches of the colors you choose. Or it will be done in very similar colors. If items are on backorder or we need to order a specialty product, your sample may be delayed. When it is ready we will mail the sample to you, come to visit or have you stop by. Because everything is handmade, there may be slight variations between them, but none that will degrade the integrity of the item. If you choose to make minor changes, you may do so at this time. Only a second sample will be made, if requested. Sample charge is $5.00 per sample. Max of 2 samples are included with your order, cost will be deducted from total order placed. Any additional samples after 2 are charged per each. You may not make changes once an item has been approved. **Unless we have not started printing**


Payments
We currently accept checks made payable to: DG Invites. We also accept cash and credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, PayPal) via PayPal. Full payment must be received before the finished product is shipped out.


Sit Back & Relax
Your items will be ready, fully assembled in 2-3 weeks. Large orders may take some more time. Please allow at least 4-8 weeks prior to assembly for design time. Design time can take as little as a couple days or several weeks. We reserve the right to make an extra of each item purchased for our use as promotional material. Full payment is due before you receive your items, either by dropoff, pickup or mail. We are flexible and can setup a payment plan if need be. But please remember we will not release or mail your items until full payment is received. We can hang on to completed items and mail them when you wish. Shipping is not included, it will be determined once items are complete and ready to be mailed. DG Invites is not responsible for any typos that are approved, lost/delayed/stolen mail, or any other issues caused by third parties. Please choose to insure any shipped items!
