Bringing Your Adventures to Life - How Our Passion for D&D Became DM’s Hoard
Hi,
we are Joe & Luise a couple from Germany who share a passion for Dungeons and Dragons and make RPG miniatures for it. How it came about:
In 2017, Joe was invited to his first Dungeons & Dragons session. He was instantly hooked, playing countless adventures before becoming a Dungeon Master himself. To make the tabletop experience even more immersive, he started using miniatures from games like Descent and Gloomhaven. But as D&D’s unique stories demanded more personalized characters, he soon found himself searching for minis that truly fit his campaigns.
When we (Luise and Joe) first met, we immediately bonded over our shared love for D&D. Luise’s brother, already experienced in 3D printing, introduced us to the technology. It didn’t take long before we wanted to print our own miniatures, so we bought our first 3D printer—an Anycubic Photon M3. From the very first print, we were hooked and eager to dive deeper into the world of 3D printing.
We realized that we wanted to share our passion with others while earning a little extra money on the side. That’s how DM’s Hoard was born—a treasure trove for Dungeon Masters and players alike, offering custom miniatures to adventurers around the world.
Today, our small shop has grown into a full-fledged workshop with three resin printers (two Anycubic Photon Mono M5s Pros and one Anycubic Mono X2) and an FDM printer (Anycubic Kobra S1).
Over the years, our passion for fantasy and miniatures has led us to acquire numerous commercial licenses, giving us access to a huge range of minis—even beyond what’s listed in our Etsy shop. If you're looking for a specific miniature that’s not in our store, just ask—we’re always happy to help!
