Olá!
Meu nome é Jackie e sou eu quem está por trás da DS Designs.
Comecei a fazer crochê para fazer chapéus recém-nascidos para creches locais depois que meu filho (o D de DS) nasceu e recebeu um chapéu de malha no berçário.
Fiz centenas de chapéus recém-nascidos enquanto vivia no Alabama. Depois nos mudamos para Kentucky, onde tive minha filha (a S de DS). Era muito mais frio em KY e eu rapidamente descobri que era difícil encontrar chapéus que se encaixavam nos meus filhos quando eles cresceram e ainda não estavam no ensino fundamental. Foi quando comecei a pesquisar e trabalhar em padrões para crianças maiores.
O que começou como um projeto para manter a cabeça dos meus filhos aquecida se transformou em paixão e eu tenho criado chapéus para cabeças desde então.
Fiz milhares de chapéus desde que comecei a fazê-los em 2012. Caridade ainda é uma paixão minha, então de vez em quando eu vou executar eventos de caridade que amarram no meu chapéu fazendo.

Hello!
My name is Jackie and I am the one behind DS Designs.
I began crocheting to make newborn hats for local nurseries after my son (the D of DS) was born and was given a knitted hat in the nursery.
I made hundreds of newborn hats while living in Alabama. Then we moved to Kentucky where I had my daughter (the S of DS). It was much colder in KY and I quickly found that it was hard to find hats that fit my kids as they grew up and were not yet in elementary school. That's when I started researching and working on patterns for bigger kids.
What started as a project to keep my kids' heads warm turned into a passion and I have been creating hats for heads ever since.
I've made thousands of hats since I started making them in 2012. Charity is still a passion of mine so every once in a while I will run charity events that tie into my hat making.
