Debi is letting me send you a review and thank you note on her Etsy page and I thank her too. Your artwork is beautiful. I love crystals and rainbow colors in stones. My "Rainbow Icicle" bursts with color on whatever I wear. My package arrived in perfect condition And I was delighted with my surprise! Thank you so much!

About

Handcrafted Glass and Natural Stone Jewelry is our business.

Our story begins in the early 1980's when as a hobby, Greg began working with stained glass. Often times, Charisse helped design and create custom and sometimes 3 dimensional glass artworks. As the hobby grew, Art Glass Ltd. was formed as an outlet for selling some of this work. One highlight was the commission for a large Victorian design window for a Ohio County Museum. This window which Greg and Charisse created, was dedicated as a memorial to the museum for permanent display.

Greg started fusing glass about 1988, which started a whole new direction working in the glass medium. Dichroic glass, being relatively new and commercially available, was particularly intriguing. After a period of time, the hobby business began online sales, starting on Ebay about 8 years ago as "Duneglass". The name is a play on words derived from the plentiful dunegrass around the area in which we live

Today, many years later this husband and wife team operate the Etsy shop as an outlet for our creations. We hope you will find our shop interesting and come back again!

Thank you for looking.
Let me begin by stating that with Dune Glass, each piece IS as it's described. If it's not dichroic or at least contains some dichroic glass within the piece, I won't ever advertise it as such. I use a lot of different types and colors of glass, so I hope to offer a wide assortment of colors, shapes and prices.

Dichroic glass can be very difficult to photograph...well OK...at least for me. Glass, I can do pretty well, photography....not so much. Please excuse some of the less than professional grade pictures.

When purchasing an item, please note that I don't get real fancy with packaging (see shipping below), mainly because a nice box is also just an added expense that I would then have to pass along to you. By dispensing with the cotton lined designer box, it does help me keep my costs down and thus...yours too.

We hope you will give Dune Glass a try, and know that your satisfaction is our goal.

Additional policies and FAQs
DUNE GLASS FAQ's and NSFAQ's (not so frequently asked questions)

Q. So how do you keep your prices low?
A. I'm kind of like the guy that comes up and says "Pssst.. wanna buy a watch?"
and then rolls up his sleeve to display a bunch of them on his arm.

Q. What kind of special eqipment do you use?
A. I use a technicallogically disadvantaged kiln I bought in
the 80's without any computerized controls. It's a beast.
Obviously I also wear REALLY, really thick gloves when I
fuse, to avoid the unpleasantness of watching my fingers burst into flames like
trick birthday candles. I use a number of other
assorted glass working tools, but nothing really unique to
fusing. No special hats or anything.

Q. So after the glass is selected and cut, then what?
A. Once the pieces are all on the kiln shelf and in the kiln,
it's pretty much like baking Toll House cookies, except my
oven goes up to 2,000+ degrees.... a feature not found
usually in most common household oven appliances.

Q. How about shipping?
A. What do boats have anything to do with any of this?

Q. Do you combine your shipping?
A. Ahhh. Well we don't ship stuff by boat, but Yes we do
combine shipping. Shipping in the USA is free.

Q. Other Dune Glass store policies?
A. Hmmm....Well...... shoplifting certainly isn't tolerated.

Q. Is that really a problem for you with a virtual Store?
A. Well..... no I suppose... not yet. But just to be on the safe
side, I've proactively installed virtual security cameras,
and one of those things that beeps annoyingly loud at you
at all the exits.

Q. Do you do any custom work?
A. It's ALL custom work. No two are ever exactly alike.
Like snowflakes.

Q. Do you take Requests?
A. That gets tricky with design and color, so I normally don't.
