Humble Beginnings

WELCOME to my Etsy Shop, DVK'z Krafts! The items in my shop are handcrafted by myself; my next door neighbor, Leta (an excellent crafter and close friend); and my 17 year old daughter, Victoria.

I became a Christian in 1975 at the age of 11. I have always been active in the church and have been willing to work in any areas that I was needed. One day, approximately 20 years ago, I decided to work with the Sewing Circle (a ministry that sewed baptismal gowns and blankets, hats, scarfs etc. for the needy). I did not know how to sew at the time but was willing to learn. The ladies patiently taught me the skills I needed. I worked with the Sewing Circle for many years. After my training, I had a desire to make handmade ladies' lapscarves and handkerchiefs. I started giving them away as gifts but people began to place orders for them. I then wanted my handkerchiefs to have a more personal touch, so I purchased an embroidery machine to monogram them.

In 2006, I began to participate in an annual "Majesty Market" held by my church during the Christmas Holiday season which focused on selling handmade Christ-centered gifts. So I embroidered scriptures and Christian symbols on my handkerchiefs. I loved the idea of Christ-centered gifts for the Holidays and throughout the year. This event inspired me to handmake other items that were Christ-centered.

Over the years, I learned how to make various other crafts and started selling my items at craft shows. I heard about Etsy and opened my shop, DVK'z Krafts, in November 2010.

I pray that my crafts will be an inspiration to those who purchase them as well as to those who will receive them as gifts. GOD BLESS.

Welcome to DVK'z Krafts. My humble business started about 25 years ago when I began making handkerchiefs for the ladies in my church. The items in my shop are handcrafted by me, with help from my next door neighbor, Leta, and my daughter, Victoria.

My goal is to complete your order in 7 days or less but, depending upon my order load, it may take a little longer. At the present, I ship First Class USPS with tracking. If the package contains one or two handkerchiefs sometimes the weight is too light to add the tracking feature. If you wish a rush on the order convo me and we will figure out additional shipping rates. My shipping and handling includes packaging supplies, postal fees, and driving to Post Office to ship the packages.
Refunds and Exchanges
Sorry, no refunds on personalized items. But if I have made an error, please convo a photo to me and I will make a corrected item and send to you at no charge. If items are received in damaged condition, please convo a photo to me and report the incident to the USPS. I will also report incident on my end. Then I ask that you immediately return the damaged items to me for replacement (please include the original envelope so that I may present it to the Postal Service for their inspection and in order to make a claim). I will refund your return shipping charges when items are received and will get your new items out to you as soon as possible.

It is my desire to receive a five star feedback on every sale. I hope that everyone would be satisfied with my work but I do make mistakes. These items are handmade and will at times have tiny flaws. I purchase some of the men's handkerchiefs to add machine embroidery to them. Sometimes these store bought handkerchiefs have slight irregularities in them as well. If you're not pleased with an item, please feel free to contact me, before you leave a low star feedback, and I'm sure I can work something out to your satisfaction.

Thank you for your understanding in these matters.
