Originaria de un pequeño pueblo de playa en el sur de Jersey, Danielle Williams siempre ha tenido una pasión por el diseño y la papelería fina. Desde muy joven apreció el romance de enviar cartas manuscritas; pasar horas reescribiéndolos palabra por palabra hasta que fueron impecables. Danielle consideró que ningún detalle era demasiado pequeño: seleccionaba a mano los mejores papeles, los colores de tinta perfectos y los sellos vintage ornamentados para complementar sus creaciones. El arte y el diseño siempre han sido parte de la vida de Danielle. Ella constantemente encuentra formas de hacer que las cosas más ordinarias sean únicas; un rasgo que se ejemplificó a la hora de planificar su boda en los Hamptons en 2014, el mismo evento que la llevó a enamorarse no solo de la caligrafía, sino de la propia industria de las bodas.
Danielle se graduó con un título en psicología de la Universidad de Syracuse en 2011 y pasó la primera parte de su carrera en merchandising visual, pero en su corazón sabía que quería seguir un camino más creativo. Fue una reubicación de Nueva York a Texas lo que le dio la oportunidad de hacer realidad ese sueño.
Encantada con el arte de la caligrafía, Danielle comenzó a autoeducarse en la práctica tomando cada momento que pudo para explorar los diversos métodos. Danielle vive en Houston, TX con sus dos caballeros favoritos, su esposo Travis y su yorkie-poo, Hudson (no hay necesidad de mencionar quién es su favorito). Cuando no está en su escritorio, puedes encontrarla explorando nuevos restaurantes, experimentando con nuevas recetas, leyendo blogs de decoración del hogar y viendo demasiado Netflix. Algunas de sus cosas favoritas incluyen: beber café helado sin importar la temperatura, disfrutar de un vaso crujiente de rosado o un gin tonic en un día soleado, y soñar despierto con estar en la playa.
Originally from a small beach town in South Jersey, Danielle Williams has always had a passion for design and fine stationery. From a young age she appreciated the romance of sending handwritten letters; spending hours rewriting them word by word until they were flawless. Danielle considered no detail too small— hand selecting the finest papers, perfect ink colors, and ornate vintage stamps to compliment her creations. To this day it is these small touches that define her style.
Art and design have always been part of Danielle's life. She constantly finds ways to make the most ordinary things unique; a trait that was exemplified when it came to planning her 2014 Hamptons wedding— the same event that lead her to fall in love with not only calligraphy, but the wedding industry itself.
Danielle graduated with a degree in psychology from Syracuse University in 2011 and spent the first part of her career in visual merchandising, but in her heart she knew that she wanted to follow a more creative path. It was a relocation from New York to Texas that gave her the opportunity to make that dream a reality.
Enchanted with the art of calligraphy, Danielle began self-educating herself on the practice by taking every moment that she could to explore the various methods. This fascination then expanded into attending Modern Calligraphy Summits and taking courses on Skillshare as she set out to perfect the skill. As custom orders began to come in it was becoming clear that calligraphy was evolving into more than just a hobby for Danielle, and in 2016 Danielle Williams Calligraphy was born.
Danielle lives in Houston, TX with her two favorite gentlemen, her husband Travis and her yorkie-poo, Hudson (there is no need to mention who her favorite is). When she's not at her desk you can find her exploring new restaurants, experimenting with new recipes, reading home decor blogs, and binge watching way too much Netflix. A few of her favorite things include: drinking iced coffee no matter the temperature, enjoying a crisp glass of rosé or a gin and tonic on a sunny day, and day dreaming about being at the beach.
